What happened to the video at 1:31:15 and after? The Lesotho athlete was in the lead, then we cut 20 minutes out. I'd actually like to know what happened and how he was passed
@Alex.17393 жыл бұрын
Yeah, literally the most important part of the race. Not great
@rb21573 жыл бұрын
They cut the part where Mathibelle of Lesotho passed Pertile, too. Frustrating. (I try to keep track of who's in the top 30 at every 5K mark when watching a marathon, and when these commentators cut back to the marathon from whatever else they were covering at the same time, they don't even indicate what kilometer the front-runner is at.)

He is running faster at the end then I could in the first few meters!

This guy talking about the "Theory" of running a sub-2-hour marathon. Little could they know that this barrier would unofficially be broken some 4 years later.

People joke about the yellow shirt guy, but to be able to run at that pace for that long, you have to be a legit elite runner. He's probably at least a club runner.

It doesn't even include the whole run-- there are a couple of key parts that are missing, like changes in who's leading.

Great victory. Congratilation. However, if he is 19 then I am 5

Ghirmay Ghebreslassie was an age cheat. He was actually born in 1983 and was 32 years old in 2015. But he lied and said he was 19. After this win he got the sponsorship he was desperately seeking. But he did it by cheating and lying about his age. It was so obvious that he was not 19.
I don't believe he was actually 19 here. Check his race history after this. It tapers off as if he was actually 25 or older in 2015.

It’s easy to get confused at the end of a Marathon. You are exhausted mentally and physically. Race Directors/Organizers need to plan with Murphy’s Law on their mind.
