Great video Hafeez. In my case, it started in 2012, with me wanting to be a doctor. Dad wanted me to be an engineer (welcome to India. You can be anything you want as long as you’re engineer or doctor (a joke)). So didnt clear the entrance exam at first. Decided to drop a year to study for it. Ridiculed by dad and friends by them trying to plant doubt in my head. Wasn’t deterred by the low marks in the mock tests as i knew that wouldn’t define me. Kept getting ridiculed even more. Exam comes and goes, results come and i get into a good medical college. Oh and it doesn’t stop there. Days of less sleep and lot of studying while enduring failure and shame. Finally graduated as a doctor in 2019 and got registered as a medical practitioner. Now studying for residency exam (which has been postponed indefinitely) to be an ophthalmologist.

Solid video. Hafeez always droppin' dem truth bombs. A simple acronym I came up with to live my best life is PEARLS, which is: P - Purpose in life. Find your purpose and build a plan to work towards it. Build sustainable daily routines/habits that will propel you towards your goal(s). E - Eat right (90% clean, 10% treat meals). A - Accept the world as it is, with amused mastery. R - Responsibility for your life. You can rant/vent, but never complain about anything. L - Lift. You don't have to become the biggest dude, but take care of your health. As they say, "health is wealth." S - Stoicism. Be non-reactive and learn to master your mind and emotions. We are men, so we are expected to be rational/objective. Hope this helps my fellow brothers out there on your respective journey. LET'S GO!

I read that book first time back in 2008, I read it once more a few years ago. I can recommend rereading it once in a few years. As you grow older and mature you will read it differently. First time I read it I was in my early 20s.

When I hear you say the 3 things a man needs to have and I think about those 3 things I came to a sad conclusion... I never had any purpose, I never had a plan and my proof is that I'm 38 years at the moment, still single, I never lived together with the girlfriends that I had, I never married, I don't have any kids, I never wanted any of that because I've seen so many people around me failing to keep their family together resulting is a life full of misery and separated from each other, I come from a broken home myself full of violence and alcoholism, it took my dad to beat me half to death before my mom finally took me away from that situation. When I was 15 years old I had enough of all the stress at home so I decided to leave and go live on my own, I guess my purpose has always been just to survive or keep myself alive and because my life has been chaos for the most part so I just haven't been able to have a plan, if I have to choose something I guess that my plan has always been to adapt and find some comfort in all the chaos, now that I'm 38 and still alive and well and found a way to make my life comfortable and to be happy with the things I've accomplished on my own, things I can be proud of and I think that's proof enough right? I've accepted that a family life isn't something that I would be able to accomplish in my life, it has never been my goal to keep my family bloodline going because I think that the world is better of without it so I decided when I was 8 years old that I would be the one to stop the chaos and misery being spread any further, I've worked very hard to distance myself from my dad because I don't want to be violent like him at all, luckily I've been very successful with that, I'm nothing like my dad I only look like him but that's it. Today I'm pretty content with the things I have around me and I found a way to be happy, I have a super sweet dog, she's a Staffordshire Terrier that I love very much and she doesn't know what chaos or violence is, I've got her when she was only 5 weeks old and it's the longest relationship I've ever had in my life going on for 8 years now, this is my proof going against the expectations of most people about me to be able to keep chaos and violence out of my life and being able to love my dog... For someone like me and where I'm coming from this is quite an accomplishment to get where I am today considering that I had to figure out life on my own the hard way by making lots of mistakes and learn from that to prevent it in the future, but I know that I still have some dragons to slay in the future and since my situation is kind of unique I'll have to do it on my own and I don't ever expect any help from people. Can you imagine that even though the family life isn't for me and highly likely will never happen in this lifetime it has always been my biggest wish to have a great wife on my side that I can trust with my life just as my grandparents have always been to each other.

@@dallasbrat81 nah, I feel that. I just think a lotta people out here can barely carry a their basic responsibility, aka purpose, that asking God for something even more burdensome is just..... goofy 😂 we GOTTA appreciate that God can't just "Give Us Responsibility" if we, individually, are Unable To Carry It 😂 😂 because that would mean God DOES give us far more than we can carry lol

I'm definitely lacking in the man category. I have no motivation, goals, and absolutely no positive friends in my life. Well friends in general. 29, no kids haven't dated in 8 years. Ive known all the things in these videos since I was 17 but I've never been able to commit to anything. I hate everything and I'm not very social. I'm so lost it hurts. I literally feel empty. In my chest. In my soul.

I am 25. I feel you. I still struggle too. All I can say for you is.. build on what you're lacking.. Build your social skills! It will help you to find life partners. Build your money to achieve what you want. As long as your basic needs(food, house, bills) are fulfilled, other purposes will pop up along the way. Then you can choose what you really want to achieve. I hope my 2cents helps. You are not alone.

I am most of these things see I think my purpose is to be a prepper and I truly think the economy would take us to Mad Max so earning money right now really doesn't seem like a good idea cuz it will be worthless in 20 years also I have two good friends so I don't feel as bad as others I at least have a small pack I trust

You asked what have I done. Im 20 years old and my purpose is to work with and speak for nature, and to ensure that wilderness is there for the rest of our days. My Plan to do so is to go to college and get my degree in Biology. My end goal is to work in either Zoos or a conservation company. My proof is that I have already begun the application process for my local college and have a nice some of money that I have saved in my bank for this endevour. Ive been budgeting and making my way in life to do what I need to do.

I want to thank you for being the example. I respect you a lot for doing what your doing. I’ve never really had anyone that I look up to that has values and morals of a real man. It’s hard out here when your growing up around men that are the opposite of that. I’m really inspired by you, I want to and will help men become better versions of them selfs. 💯🔥 gotta get those receipts.
