This paired with the marching drums and the minute gun and muffled ring from Big Ben during the Queen's final journey out of London was fantastic and moving to listen to.

It was so lovely to have the Queen's German heritage acknowledged by playing Mendelssohn - a favourite and friend of Liz's great great grandparents.

Only criticism I have is lack of drums - otherwise such a beautiful rendition God save the King

The drums were there to keep them in step. This is the original orchestration

As an American living in England when the Queen was crowned, I saw her in Washington when she visited then President Eisenhower from the road as her motorcade passed me and my brothers. God bless her, long live King Charles

I know this is a total aside to Our Late Majesty's funeral and the music, but why only the Crown on the coffin at this stage? When did the Orb and Sceptre get added?
