Hi Tori! Good to see you, glad you're OK. I think we need to put this in perspective: the Menendez Brothers case put sexual abuse on the radar. It's a historical landmark case from the POV of raising awareness toward acknowledging the prevalence of sexual abuse. It's no longer "the thing no one talks about". Growing up in the 70's the frustration I felt at not being able to say certain things (the truth) was beyond intolerable. That being said, thank you for talking about it. And your comment and opinion: you don't go to prison and become a good guy, was so on point, and as always, so appreciated.

Thank you Tori! I feel like they will be resentenced. I hope both brothers have found peace and healing. I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts. So great to have you back. Congrats on the move. Wishing you Joy in your new space.

oooh, you must be psychic - the DA just recommended re-sentencing. No promises, but closer.

Powerful truths. People minded their own business and didn’t report others.

Exactly. We are more pro-active now then we were before - it was really about "not embarrassing the guy"

The fact that these boys were sent to prison and not to a mental health facility was just a form of our "justice" system perpetuating and turning a blind eye to abuse. It was a serious case of injustice, and I believe that they should be freed. .

Hi Tori, it's so good to have you back. I love hearing your insight into cases. I remember you talking about the Menedez case way back. I hope that they're finally heard but I don't have much faith in the justice system and they didn't get a fair trial the second time round. We can only hope!.

Great to see you Tori. I agree that back in those days no one talked about child abuse and who would they report it to without their wealthy parents finding out. They most definitely would've felt trapped. The parents were monsters,so how else were these two supposed to turn out. Once again great to see you back😊

I have always believed them. When you've been through sexual trauma you can see it in someone else. I hope they do get resentenced and can come home and finialy be able to live their life for the first time as hopefully healed men. When you said if your a bad person and go to jail you don't just do good in jail and that is such a great point . So glad your back and it's so nice to see Gavin. We need to have more empathy with people who have been through such traumatic events. I don't condone violence but they did feel like it was either them or their parents and I can't imagine. The reason they believed their patents wanted to get rid of them was when Eric found out his mother knew the whole time and broke down and told Lyle and Lyle told him father to not touch his brother again and he responded with something lkle I will do what I want with him and like you said the parents were really going to hurt them or atleqst try and scare them so they wouldn't tell. I watched the 1st trial and I would encourage everyone to watch it. It's not fair that the 2nd trial could not have that defense and of corse they said they unalived them so or corse the jury will say they are guilty. That was not fair at all. Also with the spending money thing. They might have grown up with more then most but their dad held his money over their head as in you will have nothing if I cut you off and where would they even go. Being groomed at children that If they tell he would hurt them to me in my mind I understand why they chose the out they did. I know they regret it but with age comes wisdom and understand things could have ended differently but they were children when this happened. I mean under 25 is a child to me. Sorry I'm ranting I just have allot to say because they were terrified their whole life. I wish I could have hugged them both and take them but I was only 1 when this happened lol. I pray they are able to have time served and they can be let out.

Well said. True. Ignoring abuse is one of the biggest problems with our court system.

Wud love your deep dive perspective on Mica Frances Miller case - no one had more insight on Shannan & Watts children murders than you. I imagine it was hard on you to go through that case. If you are up to it, I wud love to hear your insights about all the players who impacted the death (& life) of Mica Miller - just if ur up to it. I know it wud bring many followers but that’s not why I’m requesting your input on Mica’s case … she has touched many of our lives & what too many people still endure

Did you try to use your intuition at all to read anything about this case or is it too dark to touch? I feel like there was enough evidence in the trial to back their claims of abuse

Great question. TBH I personally deeply resonated with their pain and the torture I felt they had endured from their father and mother. I know as many others do too what it's like to be abused and have nowhere to go. I always felt that the life sentence did not take into account the brutality the brothers went through. x

I do think they should be let free. I don’t believe they will be reoffends. I feel that they would have never done this if they didn’t believe they had another way out. Put yourself in their shoes, we don’t know how we would handle this if we were them.
