Excellent conversation and information. The access to knowledgeable providers is so limited for so many of us. So many of us have suffered (continues to suffer) in silence. We must continue to be our best advocates, learn, and get involved in the conversation and action. Continue to conversation and sharing I believe we will get there!

Dr. Haver, you are also a business/brand owner of your products. How do I know your information is unbiased? Majority of me wants to believe you, but knowing social media’s selling power makes me want to question.

Had to listen to this twice over. Lots of info👍 If someone has had one ovary taken out but still had one remaining and is 2 years in menopause, can she safely take hrt?

We'd highly recommend consulting with a menopause-trained doctor about this so they can review your specific medical history to find the best option for you! We can help at Alloy!❤️

Is the anti-pellets discussion aimed at the videos from Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith? No shade on her, but I've been watching her videos, also, and am now confused as she is a big proponent of pellets.
@myalloy Жыл бұрын
Hi! It isn't aimed at anyone. Pellets are specifically not recommended by The Menopause Society. We have some videos on this on our Instagram and TikTok.

If you say that you don’t need to check blood levels then how do you know if the dose you are taking is therapeutic? That you are absorbing well. Estradiol gel., testosterone gel. I understand the symptoms you see and feel maybe don’t need confirmation with bld test but what about knowing if bone health is improving other then going for follow up dexa scan

What if I am 4 years post and just found out I have an enlarged atrium, (when I finally get over my fear and ask for hormone support 🤦🏼♀️) does this rule me out???

Sorry, Mary Claire Haver has a video where she says every woman needs to go on HRT. That’s incredibly irresponsible and says that this is a doctor benefitting financially.
@izaj Жыл бұрын
It is her piece of advice to every woman without any contraindications. The same as ordering testosteron to a man with such deficiency or giving thyroid hormones to somebody who had a thyroid removed. The decision needs to be taken by a woman based on the knowledgable discussion with a doctor but according to science the risks of HRT are small in comparison to the benefits. Doctors during past 20 years were saying NO to HRT due to WHI misinformation and now it's finally changing. However, nobody forces anybody to take it.

Actually she says every woman is entitled to the conversation..and some won't choose it or be able to use it. But we all deserve the conversation with an educated physician.
