There will be videos on everything. I an trying to teach you the reality of what happens at menopause. I will give you options in every category for managing all these things any way you wish. But denial does you no good. Knowledge is power. And not all knowledge is what you want to hear. There is no way I can give you everything in a single video. It's just not possible. If you do want everything all tat once, you should: (1) Schedule a one-on-one consultation with me in which I CAAN cover earthing (both good & bad), & tailor it all to you, along with all your options for managing it. (2) Get the DVD of the entire seminar at MenopauseTaylor.ME (3) Get the chapter-by-chapter webinars of the entire education (and watch them in order) (4) Get my book & read it (5) Watch these once-a-week videos in order starting with the very first one and continue doing so for the next few years. I have created every educational tool to serve your needs, regardless of your timeline, learning style or budget. Knowledge is power, even when it's not what you want to hear.

@@MenopauseTaylor It is not just about what we want to hear and nobody is saying that your videos are not useful, it is just that insisting on so much depressing information could even grow a bad mood. and most of the symthoms could even grow with that kind of info due to humans are instrinsecally emotional creatures. To warn and teach is not a happy result and most women precisely need more support than exclusively just information. Maybe you could work with a partner in your videos. I thank you everyday for all you have taught me but I insist on women in menopause need more support than just information or, at least, teach how to see in a better way the same info in order not to grow emotionally all those bad changes to became even worse just to be aware of. Our minds need to be healthy and not scared because information could be scaring. We are also responsible for what we teach and how we teach that info. We need more hope during the rest of our lives.

Thank you for providing this priceless education. I live in Ecuador and have been unable to locate a menopause specialist in country. I did find a GYN who agreed to prescribe HRT for me until she discovered that I have fibroids. No matter what I said I could not convince her that they should not affect whether or not I am eligible for HRT. She disagreed and said I need a hysterectomy before she will prescribe HRT. Instead I dropped her and bought AngelIQ at the pharmacy since no prescription is necessary. Now I will search for a new GYN.

Emily, You might want to have a consultation with me to address your situation so that I can tailor everything specifically to YOU. You need to know how to work with any professional, and I can tell you how to go about that. \I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I would need all these things at least 1 week before your consultation with me. 3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points put the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are 25 - 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email at least 24 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth. 5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed. 6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use. 7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and balance their options. It isn't impossible, but it is much more difficult. If you really want to understand all the forces that are at play, schedule a one-on-one consultation with me. It will make you much more successful in your efforts. One of the big problems is that not a single professional who is available to help you with weight loss (dietitians, nutritionists, fitness people, diet promoters) knows a singe thing about menopause. So, they have no idea how to actually help you. In a consultation, I will teach you what's really happening in your body and teach you how to work with it. Then, you'll be more successful no matter what you choose to do. It is different for every woman. Most experience hair loss during early post-menopause, when your estrogen is kaput, but your testosterone is still high. High testosterone is what causes men to go bald. So, for a time, we have a hormone situation that is somewhat similar in early post-mennopause.

I'll post it again and hope it comes through- Dr. T, it's Cori, since I just had a consult with you a couple of weeks ago, I'll just ask on here. You had me drop my progesterone because I don't have a uterus but you state in the video that progesterone is a hormone of calmness and helps tamper down anxiety, right? Why wouldn't progesterone along with my estrogen help my anxiety, which I think it did when I was taking it? Since increasing my estrogen my anxiety is much less but not completely gone, evenings are still when it rears it's ugly head, even splitting my estrogen dose like you suggested. I know a lot of women, like me, that have had total hyst/BSO's and they take all three hormones or at least estrogen and progesterone. Do you believe there is EVER a reason for a woman without a uterus to use progesterone? Also, a lot of doctors prescribe progesterone for sleep which is one of my last holdouts since my hyst/BSO. I still have trouble falling asleep and waking a lot throughout the night. Will this get better as I get closer to the right estrogen dose? You saw my labs and my progesterone comes in as basically 0.
@MenopauseTaylor5 жыл бұрын
This is not the forum for continuing your consultation. But I can give you some facts. Progesterone does cause drowsiness. It is the calming, seating hormone. It's what causes pregnant women to feel like they could fall asleep standing up in the first months of pregnancy. So, for some women, progesterone is great for inducing sleep and reducing anxiety. The problem is that it also causes bloating, acne, & depression, which most women hate.And getting the timing on being drowsy only at night is usually difficult. Estrogen deficiency is also a cause of anxiety. Some womankind that increasing their estrogen is all they need to alleviate their anxiety. And anyone an take progesterone if she wants to. It's only required if you have your uterus. But, like everything else, it has both benefits AND risks. And one of the risks of progesterone is that it increases your risk of breast cancer more than if you took estrogen alone. You are always free to manage your menopause any way you find most beneficial FOR YOU. The key is to listen to your body to discover what is most beneficial FOR YOU. Most women spend much too much time listening to what everyone else is doing rather than listening to their own bodies. Your body talks to you. It will tell you when it's happy, and it will tell you when it's not.

End of story. I won't see her again. She's the most rigid doctor I've ever seen. Not just about those meds, but the whole visit. I need a doctor who will work with me, who discusses things with me and we come to a mutual agreement. After all, it's my body we're talking about. Do you prescribe meds? My lazybutt husband does enough of that for both of us :( So if I drink pots of coffee, buy industrial strength tweezers, buckets of retin A, do 5 billion sit ups, several hours of daily yoga, mega mental puzzles to stave off granny brain, and sew my mouth shut I can survive what's coming? Sigh.... Maybe having to buy lots of tampons isn't so bad. I've just started perimenopause and my hair is already turning to straw.

Susan, Menopause really should be the greatest time of your life. There is absolutely no reason that any woman has to be miserable. The problem is that most women have absolutely no education on how to make it wonderful. You bet! In addition to explaining various good things throughout some of the videos that have both good and not so good things, there are videos on just the good things as well. I think menopause can and should be the best time in your life. But that's impossible without an education about it. It's your job to make it great, and you can't do that with ignorance. Pooja A female friend of mine is 54 and her grey hair is almost unnoticeable (she does not dye it); in contrast, her brothers already had some grey hair when they were about twenty years old. Her brain is extremely sharp, her waist is about 56 cm (22 inches), I believe, but she is a shapely petite lady as well as a very fit one, which probably helps in the waist department. She complains (of course!) that the waist used to be 52 cm ;-) Doctor Taylor is in a league of her own but there is hope for us, ordinary mortals too :-)

Dr. Taylor has been on Estrogen since her early 30ties
@yesher125 жыл бұрын
Dr. To all that have not done a consultation with Dr. Taylor and you have a lot of questions that your current physician is not answering, I would highly recommend a one-on-one consultation with Dr Taylor, she is incredibly knowledgeable and really takes the time to get to know you and help. I am so glad that I found her.

@MenopauseTaylor4 жыл бұрын
Well, it doesn't really "grow." It's just that your breasts consist of a lot of fat. And as we age, we gain more fat. And some of that fat deposits in the breast. But instead of being perky sexy breast enlargement, it's mostly more sagging. But your bra size will increase.

That's all coming, and I've already covered some of it in previous videos. The only way you're going to get the information you need is to do one of the following: (1) Schedule a one-on-one consultation with me, in which I'll give you the whole education AND tailor all the information specifically to YOU. (2) Watch the whole education on my seminar DVD available at MenopauseTaylor.ME (3) Watch the whole education as chapter-by-chapter webinars (in order) (4) Get my book & read it (5) Watch all my videos, in order, beginning with the very first one and continue to do so for a few years to come. (That's how long it will take to get the entire education with one video each week!) I've created every educational tool in every format for your benefit, regardless of your timeline, learning stye, or budget. There's no way I can tell you in a single video how to fix everything. I can't even do that in dozens of videos. But I do precisely that in consultations, the seminar DVD, the webinars, and my book. Menopause should be the best time of your life. But that's only possible with a complete education that enables you to make it that way. That's what I can do for you in a consultation. I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone. 2) I would confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request. So, that's my role. I'm a slim person and have been on HRT for 5 years. Lately I've noticed more abdominal fat even though I've maintained my weight. I thought HRT would keep the fat from depositing in the abdomen. Am I wrong?
@MenopauseTaylor5 жыл бұрын
The weight gain issue is one of the biggest misconceptions about menopause. Think about it: All the years of your reproductive life, when you still have estrogen on board, you don't have a weight problem. But when you LOSE your estrogen, you gain weight. So, it's the loss of estrogen that is to blame. It's Mother Nature's fault. And it happens because loss of estrogen slows down your metabolism and causes you to deposit fat in your belly area. All the years of your reproductive life you had "bloating" due to temporary water weight that was a result of fluctuating hormones, most significant just before your period started. Now, in your post-menopausal life, you'll have actual weight gain that is due to permanent fat accumulation as a result of estrogen loss. Don't confuse bloating with weight gain. HRT cannot make you gain weight. Menopause itself can (and does). Women make the grave mistake of deciding to quit HRT because they blame it for their weight gain. It's completely backward. HRT will help you avoid weight gain, not contribute to it. But the dosages of estrogen in HRT are not nearly as high as what your own body used to make. So, even with HRTm you'll notice some weight gain, mostly in your abdominal region.
@terriallen7795 жыл бұрын

What causes all your pubic hair to fall out at menopause?
@MenopauseTaylor5 жыл бұрын
The same thing that causes your hair to fall out on your head: Hormone shifts. Hair has 3 phases: (1) The growing phase (2) The resting phase (3) The falling out phase Most of the time, you have hairs in each of these phases. And because you have all three things going on, you perceive no change in your hair. Any hormonal event can synchronize hairs so that there are more hairs in one of these phases. That’s why you hear pregnant women say, “My hair is getting so thick,” or “My hair is getting thin.” It’s also why some women notice a change in their hair, like hair that gets straighter or more curly. Whenever there’s a noticeable change in your hair, it’s because there are more hairs than normal in one phase or another. Menopause commonly causes hair loss. Many women even notice a male balding pattern. Some have severe thinning. And it is directly due to estrogen loss. So, taking estrogen can definitely increase hair growth. That’s true whether the estrogen is systemic or topical. Most women need MORE estrogen, not less. Menopause, by definition, means LOSS of estrogen.

And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively).

Can you comment on a substitute for HRT. I loved HRT however I had cancer that was estrogen fed. Thus my oncologist said no more hormones. Some days when I am with my friend who wears estrogen patches, I want to rip it off her and slap it on. I swear I crave estrogen. Is there any help for women in my position?

You have many options. However, they are not something I can present in any single video. I will be giving you options in every category for each and every symptom and disease associated with menopause. But it will take years to get all that information from these videos. Your situation is one that is ideally suited for a one-on-one consultation. That way, I can tailor everything specifically to YOU and YOUR symptoms. Afterwards, you'll know all your options in all the categories, as well as all the advantages and disadvantages of each. So, there isn't just one substitute for HRT. There are many. And deciding which ones are right for YOU requires the personalization that I can give you only in a consultation. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. After I sent my question to you I thought a consultation would be helpful. I am going on vacation but when I get back I will schedule a consult. I am sorry you had to write a lengthy response but it was very helpful. I look forward to talking to you in the near future. Thank you

Well, this is depressing.

I'm sorry. I'm not trying to depress you. I'm making sure you have the education you need in order to turn your negatives into positives. The biggest problem with regard to menopause is that most women have their heads stuck in the same. They have no education at all. And they have no idea how to manage their menopause in a way that can make the rest of their life the best of their life. So this education is precisely what it takes to be able to do that. Knowledge is power, even if it includes some things you don't want to hear. I will be giving you plenty of options for managing each and every thing YOUR way.

Why can't our books grow. I lost 100lbs, most in boobs and butt. Went from nice solid C's to Barely B's..... Grey hair started showing up when I was a teenager. Mom was grey by 30 I've got no figure. PCOS meant I've always been fluffy....i did manage to lose 100lbs slowly with diet and exercise over several years....ovarian cyst and girl parts helped shed another 9lbs...... No confidence ( at work where I can't say anything)....just tired of being everyone's useful idiot....use me and abuse me. Loving the education.

Yeah your right about being surprised and having your eyes opened. I'm not sure how you can deceive so many people and still sleep at night. I think you know what I'm talking about.
