This couple is ridiculous. I’m sorry, I believe in giving grace to everyone but if you have children, you need to develop routines to care for them and your home. How much time do you spend watching TV? Clean your bloody house

She works 12 hour shifts..sounds like nights. I did that for 16 years when mykids were very young. Left me chronically ill. Nurses must sleep…big mistakes happen when nurses do not sleep. The laundry is done. they homeschooled 6 kids during the pandemic while their mom worked extra shifts. Three kids in each bedroom…tiny bedrooms. There is no laziness here, but your post…judgmental and mean spirited.. reveals what an emotionally lazy person looks like. They seem to have one bathroom…for 8. Thekitchen is ok. these people are amazing. theyneed a clothes system and clothes storage. These are lovely helpful children. dadgum…I just cannot get over how meanspirited you are. When I was doing this, one child had cancer and we were in clinic about three days a week. the house was awful, but a few lovely friends came over every week and did. cleaning. Kindest women to ever exist.

Parents were earning so much money, why couldn't they call regular cleaning service from the start. Actually they are miser and dirty by themselves.

It is so important to get the kids involved and get them into the habit of keeping their spaces clean. You did a great job. God bless you all.

The mom just gave up, understandable, needed clothes systems so she doesn’t get overwhelmed, plus , more help from family

I think it's interesting that the boy's room is so bad, yet the girl's isn't. Plus, that one little girl seemed to help out more than the other children. I wonder if a little bit of it is taught, or the parents were more on top of the girls than the boys. Obviously, a large part of the mess is the parent's busy schedules and having six children, but a small part of it is also the stigma of girls being "cleaner" than boys... That behavior is taught.

They both have demanding jobs and their children have never been taught to clean (parents are at fault here). They need to hire a cleaning service and they must declutter most of their things. The kids are old enough to manage their own possessions.

Train your kids to clean in and out of house even washing dishes and clothes even cooking the simple foods so that when parents are out always looking for money for lives thier home is clean and tidy bcoz they'll grow up also and become parents also and pass it down that traits to the next generation.

The title is misleading. They are not mentally ill or lazy, they are just in over their heads busy. Taking care of a home while having two full time working people is hard, now add in children, let alone 6! They need to simplify, declutter, have systems in place and have the kids do their part.

They are mentally ill to have 6 children in the first place. It's not like kids grow overnight or fall in through the chimney. Probably some religious doofus about procreating

A commercial cleaner who wrote a book, (Arnot??) said to use two buckets of water--one with the clean soapy water, the other with the water for rinsing the sponge or rag.

The parents are at fault not teaching the children to clean up after themselves. They are not doing a good service for their children
