You don’t have to explain yourself and your privilege. Pain is pain. It isn’t comparable. Your pain is valid to you and I understand that I have similar issues with loads of privileges but my brain still doesn’t produce the right chemicals

Absolutely agree. I think it's just important to acknowledge as my privileges made it easier for me to seek and get help but of course it doesn't take away from how unwell I was x

oh my I relate to this so much. I went to a private school too and struggled with anorexia since I was 15. I was an inspiring medical student, I still am. Currently studying psychology at uni. I totally understand the privileges but it doesn't make our experience any less valid!
