Mental Health Crisis Among India's Children | Dr. Shelja Sen

Dr. Shelja Sen is a child and adolescent psychologist and co-founder of Children First - an institute for child mental health. A TED speaker, Dr Sen has authored 3 critically acclaimed books. She believes that we, as a society, have to work on building ecosystems that nurture emotionally safe spaces for children and youth. It's honestly so heartbreaking to hear stories of childhood trauma and about parents treat their children in an improper way. Who keep invalidating, devaluing and dismissing their children's thoughts, feelings, dreams and virtually everything!!! You feel the hurt yourself when she speaks about those stories. :( hope our indian parents learn and change.
