I blocked him. Did not answer the door when he was banging on it. Then he started in with my friends. He would try to get info on me through my friends. He even wrote me letters wanting to know what he did to hurt me so much. They went unanswered. I kept a log of everything in case I had to take legal action. Glad he’s gone .

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. MAKE SURE that close trusted friends KNOW everything that he is doing in case something goes REALLY wrong (I pray that it doesn’t but escalating behavior can turn into violence). Make sure others know about his behavior.

I keep a log as well. I had to sue him at one point to get my property back and reported him to Facebook because he was harassing me through messenger. FB got in contact with him and when he got the paperwork for the lawsuit he stopped then. He doesn’t like the law and I think that scared him off. It’s been a quiet 7 years. But I still keep a log of everything just in case and to remind me of what not to go through again.

From the narcs perspective (no I'm not a narc I'm just very experienced in dealing with this personality) being blocked is better because it allows them to create all kinds of drama (stalking, door banging, window banging, etc.). Narcs thrive on drama so blocking gives them supply. Ignoring neutralizes them more and is far worse to their psych. So, if you really want to win this war, full fledged ignoring is the name of the game. The opposite of love is not hate, it's disinterest.

@@rtco769 even with a career and education in psychology we all get fooled and manipulated by narcs. It’s how we choose to handle each one as they are all different. For me, doing a smear campaign doesn’t bother be because everyone who does love and knows me would look at the narcissist and ask them why they feel so comfortable talking about poorly without me present to defend or why does they feel they can confide in them about me at all? (It’s happened before and I didn’t lose friends or family). He gave away my financial info/spending habits, sexual info, and while for other it can cause turmoil my friends who mostly work in my hospital will not entertain that as they feel it’s not their business nor the narcs to share. Plus people forget and move on with their lives and eventually narcs will too. :) Still love ur perspective though

Me ignoring him is like okay I just need her response. Once I response he's satisfied. No I need you to continue to think about what you did. Keep in mind, if you block on Facebook, and you have a weakness in a moment and unblock them, you can't reblock for 48 hours. My ex played this game - he'd block me then unblock me all in the same day (yes I was weak and kept checking), but remained no contact (no communication). Him blocking me and unblocking me became a laughing matter on my behalf (him doing it). I finally got to the point where he's blocked now, 100% on my end, and my heart doesn't hurt anymore. Every few days or so I'll think of him and be like "oh ya... I forgot he exists". This makes me happy :)

I'm currently living next door to a pair of narcissistic ex-friends. They're a couple. I've effectively blocked them both on every app there is under the sun. But they still know my every movement and they're constantly saying and doing things to provoke me. It's horrible and i feel constantly watched over. This has been my situation for 2 years and, it's taking a toll on my health, mentally and physically. I'm considering moving houses because, even when there is no more interaction, i can feel the heavy and oppresive energy from them. My daughters made the decision to no longer communicate with their father. They are teens and know how they feel. At one point I would say they should communicate with him because he's their father. But when their father continues to disregard, deflect, and project onto them, and say the most hurtful things. I had to support them in their decision. I don't know if they have any idea of the negative impact they have on their children or if they even care. Ultimately I feel they use children as an access point to the mother to attempt to manipulate and spew their hatefulness.

@@dcanes5720completely understand you choice. Just had to make the same choice with an in-law. Have gone no contact with both my ex and his parent (they are both narcs). The parent was dying and Finally passed late last year. I had to ask myself if they were capable of delivering a final narc shot (some effed up comment) and then dying OFF the scene, leaving me with that trauma? The answer was “YES” they are capable of that. I also had to ask myself did I really want to tangle with BOTH of them at the same time? Nope, didn’t like doing it when we were married and I am damn sure not wanting to do it NOW. I decided to stick to my no contact rule and not respond about the death at all. I thought I would have more guilt but when it happened and they passed, I felt a tinge of sadness (for the sad life they led) but felt NO GUILT whatsoever. That was when I knew I had made the right decision. Never let guilt be the deciding factor when dealing with narcs. Remember: they weaponized EVERYTHING concerning you. You will not “win” by showing up. They will find a way to make your showing up a problem. You might as well maintain your peace of mind and remain no contact. Is a no-win situation. Whatever you choose to do, it will be flipped and WEAPONIZED. Side step the entire exchange and stay no contact. There is nothing wrong with prioritizing yourself and your safety and health.

Once you know, block them, change your mobile/cell number, delete social media. Stop talking to mutual friends, family and get some Domestic Abuse/Violence support/counselling. If you have children together, create an account on a parent app for communication and document everything! I had to put a physical post-it note on my phone where I wrote in all caps DO NOT TEXT HIM! when I was in no contact in case I got weak. It worked!! I ended up blocking my now ex-husband once I filed for divorce. I realized that it was pointless to communicate with him. I used to take the bait and react to him, arguing and yelling with him. His mother talked me into co-signing a loan with him in 2020 so I was trying to communicate about him about that when we first separated. But I realized he would lie when he said he would pay. He used that as a way for me to reach out to him. It was pointless. I know he was just lying. So I blocked him. It helped me heal by not talking to him. I was also afraid that he would text/call to harass me once the court served him divorce papers. 😅

Fantastic work mate! I just broke away from a covert narcissist. She love bombed me hard in the beginning. I thought she was the one. We went out for 1 month before she discarded me. I was numb and unable to function for days! I went back to her as FWB for a total of 6 months this went on with all the head games in between. Even trying to drive a wedge between me and my family. I called her out in the end after a second discard in a letter i sent her. I haven't heard from her for over 3 months now. But i noticed she has done something she swore she'd never do.....she has created a facebook page! 3 days after my birthday. She would tell me she doesn't have any social media as she leads a very private life. And now she has created this profile so i can see her and be tempted to reach out. Not gonna happen! These people are genuinely sick in the mind. The pain she caused me i cannot describe or compare with anything else. I really appreciate your content my man. It has helped me a lot in my recovery.

Who knows what would've happened in his presence) Everything he subjected me to took place in 1 year but felt like a decade. They try to throw the guilt bomb after u go full no contact. I know my family did that to me when I departed. It's sad. Do I love my family? Normally I'd say yes. I WANT to love my family. I recieved no love from them as a child and my inner self wants that respect and love from my parents and siblings. However, I know they won't change. So i remain dead towards my feelings with them. It's so rare for a narcissist to try changing. If I allowed even a tiny sliver of a opening for them to talk to me or see me, it would most likely set me back into their control again, abuse and manipulation, snide remarks and judgements. I still have nightmares of them abusing me when my depression is hitting me. I'm definitely still healing day by day. I get scared because my dad is into guns and got my lil sis into them also. Both of them have anger issues and extreme narcissism. My mom is the kind of narcissist who threatens, manipulates, and makes others do her dirty work to try and make her hands seem clean

It's so hard when it's both your parents. And then if you're like me, it was your partners because people usually model their partners after their parents. I get triggered like once a week. It used to be every day. So, I am grateful for baby steps. But, I definitely would prefer to be happy lmao. Well, at least know you are not alone.

Wow I’m reading this and I’m in the same situation my mother and my sister are narc and sister bpd I was always the black sheep abused as a child I moved out 2020 and got in relationship with 1st narc I never knew what narcissists were but I educated myself for years upon moving home I realized my mothers ways much more and seen what it was why we always had disagreements I started to speak up for myself noticing her passive aggressive ugly remarks my sister she is a covert she hides my things rips important papers steals my stuff she always denies her wrongdoing and my mom backs her up and uses my mental illnesses on me when she caused them and I only wanted her to trust me moving home was the worst mistake made my health worse I ran back to my ex narc my mom scared me she hit herself with plates pretending to stab her self to dress me out she is scary as I grown older she used her sickness for us to feel bad as I do I feel she hates me I’m working on getting out she only uses me to get paid off my autism child while I work it’s crazy how as we get older we see our family real ways although I’ll never tell her I lost a lot of respect for my mom and my sister pulled a knife on me twice it’s no need to tell them they know it affected me my mom even bit me 😂 I’m working on quite leaving and getting all tied cut from them I may visit on holidays or for my son to come by but when I leave I have to separate myself I will build my own dream family and I hope you do to your not alone ❤

Thank you for the advice. Even when you ignore the abuser he still tries. I've gotten off suicidal media. He doesn't have my number, but he does have my email and it's irritating. He doesn't know where I work, but he knows where I live and I hate it cause I have to watch my surroundings when I leave or of my front door. I just want to be left alone. It's scary and I pray for him to be safe but for God to keep him away from me. And I ask God that he doesn't hurt anyone else. 😢

I was raised by one and married one. I was in a relationship with one and he lost his temper. Called the police and the bail conditions put on him were very strict. Blocking on my phone wasn't enough, I had to change my phone number AND block on social media in addition to changing my sm profile names. He still sends emails tho. Even with blocking on email the emails go to my junk folder which I see from time to time. Your videos have helped significantly on understanding the mind of a narc and he is by far text book in every single way. Its been over a year and he still tries to contact. I'm just thankful... although it wasn't easy but God provided a way of escape for me.

I think that if you have a choice, and you don't 100% block, then that's codependent narcissism. I think people get off on playing a game, and they like knowing that the narcissist still thinks about them. You're presented with a choice to be better; to grow. Does make you feel good to receive the messages, or does it make you feel good to never hear from them again? If you feel good from getting the attention, then you need to look inward. (Of course there are exceptions like proof of abuse. I just mean on average) In regards to prayers to cool my buns (😂), I had to call my mom to convince me not to respond to the narcissist that was also *the* *best* s** I've ever had. She told me to put the phone down and ignore that message like it would give me herpes if I read it again. I blocked him and haven't had to face that "thinking of you" message since. I'm so grateful for the wisdom of my mother.

Some comments will say how they enjoy stringing the creep along for a while and telling him no. They clearly enjoy the attention and the power of no. You have to block them in your mind... But that needs time. It is not enough to block them on the social platforms - it is just playing with them like kindergarden. You don´t need to block them if you are clear with how you handle them. Just don´t play Tom and Jerry or any games. You have to be clear it is over and you just communicate most important things with them (about you child-support or such cases). Personally I am very clear and I don´t let a snake bite me twice. With time you will realize more and more that you are sure better off without that person. Focus on yourself and your life (and let that circus behind!)...
