@@OppaiAI I wouldn't call David Goggins a snake-oil salesman; he seems like the Real Deal to me. Having said that, however, you're quite right in many respects. It's good to become mentally very tough, but it has become something of a public sport in America to taunt, troll, and sneer at the weak and helpless. This "good times breeds weak men" meme has just become an excuse to self-medicate by sneering; if you can look down your nose at others for quitting, you can avoid looking at your own pain and suffering. A genuinely tough individual doesn't need to tear others down or to narcissistically self-medicate, and there's a lot of that going all around on KZbin comment sections.

I think most people are weak is because they never had a mentor to tell them when they screwed up and how to pick yourself back up. If not, these lessons will be earned through life experience.

It's the opposite. Weak people are weak because they get mentor to tell them what to do. After that they will think they know how to do it then brag about it. But at the end of the day they didn't even bother doing it (lazy). Most lessons should be learned through life experience. Example : Jack, a grade A student, was always told that he was gifted and he could do anything he wants. One day he played table tennis with John and lost to him. After that day Jack quit playing table tennis because he lost to John, a grade C student. Little did he know John actually lost to him 2 years ago, but John didn't give up. He made a goal that someday he's going to beat Jack at table tennis. That failure/lost made him stronger.

Man this made me break down and cry hard. You hold it all in and suffer until something touches your mind and heart, and just speaks to you. Just ended a 10 year relationship and was feeling dark and lost after she moved on. Woke up this morning, opened the windows to let sunshine in, and made a promise to be my best self, no matter what. The mind is a powerful thing. It can either be your best friend or your worst enemy, and it will always be with you everyday, either beating you down, or lifting you up. Take control and make your own destiny. Rewrite your own history. You were born alone, you will die alone. What you do in between is up to you. 💯💪🏾

If anyone needs inspiration, here it is: I'm considered very lucky but went through a trying time with my education/career. I knew I wanted to be a nurse when I was in high school. I started at a community college and took all the pre-reqs needed. There was one quarter where I was doing a full time schedule, working, and went to "nursing assistant" school at night. I passed that test and worked as a nursing assistant throughout school. I received my associate's degree, kept applying to bachelor's programs (for 2 years) and kept getting rejected. Within 4 years of pre-reqs, finally got into a nursing school (associate's degree). I failed the first quarter and was asked to leave the program. I went into a depression after that but kept going and took my pre-reqs over (as classes were expiring) just to get back in. While my friends got accepted, I kept taking classes. When they finally graduated, I got into another program. I was 24 when I got in and 26 when I graduated. Because nursing is so competitive (and continues to be, they only hired those with a bachelor's degree. Again, I kept making the rounds - going to all sessions, advising meetings. I eventually got a job at a well-known learning hospital. Throughout this process, I had an old nursing instructor reach out to me. She was recruiting students for a new health program for students seeking a bachelor's degree. I was so stubborn because I didn't want to give up on nursing, however at that time, the universe was giving me clues that made me feel that maybe it wasn't for me and I couldn't let go of that feeling. I was working on strengthening my applications again but on a whim, I applied. Not only did I get in but I was offered a scholarship. I was 28 when I got accepted. Throughout the 2 years, i was fortunate to be given grants to help with tuition. I finally graduated with a bachelor's degree at 30 years old. It doesn't end there. During my last quarter of the program, I was inspired to work in technology in the medical/health world, Again, on a whim, I applied to a master's program and on the day I was graduating, I found out I was accepted. The program consists of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and management personas. Very intimidating. I also found out it was very competitive and hard to get accepted to and in also one of the toughest universities to get into. I will be finished and will be getting my master's degree at the end of this year and will walk next summer :) Keep in mind - I come from a culture that PRIDES itself on education so of course, throughout this 10+ year journey, I had judgements, unsolicited advice, non-believers, people looking down on me...people who stopped wanting to be associated with me because of my failures. I have not told anyone (except like 4 people) that I'll be getting my master's so we shall see how that goes :) BOTTOM LINE: DON'T GIVE UP. STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF. FOLLOW WHAT INTERESTS YOU & WHAT YOU FIND PASSIONATE ABOUT. LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. IF IT'S FOR YOU, IT IS FOR YOU. :)

KDLC this resonated with me, damn! I failed like hell in law school, was made a laughing stock, from 1-3 semester i asked myself what are you still doing here in law school, but something inside of me kept saying you can do this because I knew I had passion for law. My School gave me a second shot, I grabbed this second chance like my life depends on it. The school didn't know who they were about to turned me into. Oh boy! the moment I unleashed, my school authority and coursemates were like, we didn't see that coming. I'll tell you this, putting oneself through school ain't that easy, but it's worth the effort, experience and mental maturity. Today, I'm a graduate.

I am feeling super weak right now. Not being able to control my addictions, I have fallen for them, I have let them take control of my life and I was at the point to give up and just start living a miserable life because I told to myself. 'You are too weak to overcome these urges. Just give up and let them control you.' But I saw how bad things started becoming. So I needed to find a way to make mindset stronger. I found this video and I know 1 video will not be enough but that line I will NOT allow you to own ANY piece of Mind and spirit was so much about my situation and I really felt the motivation going in my veins. I will not stop fighting if it's the last thing I do I will overcome this addiction and become a strong man. I will not allow it to take any pice of my mind and spirit.

I just turned 25 and when I was 21-23, I suffered with anxiety and depression badly. My anxiety was so crippling that at times, I felt as though I was a prisoner in my own body.. When friends would come over and want to talk, I couldn't really explain it because my anxiety and depression had me so bogged down that I honestly couldn't get the words out my mouth if I wanted to. But what help me bounce back, although it takes time, was learning to love myself again. Doing away with social media and focusing on the man in the mirror. It starts with learning to love yourself. Sounds cliche but it's true. Getting back to what once made you happy/ feel alive before society gave us a standard on how it should be. No life is better than the one you currently have. No matter what social media shows. We all have problems. We are human. Any form of exercise you can do will help you get better. Start slow and work your way up. Be honest with yourself and realise it's a journey, not a sprint. And surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you and who wants the best for you. You are a valuable asset in this life. Believe it. Own it! But take action, friend.. You got this! 💪💪💪

For people who are the contrary: strong and have high positive energy, and are active and undertaking, this doesn't always apply. Very important to know how to let go, and take gas away from the pedal. Take time to meditate, reconsider things, plan, or just chill. And watch... things unfold... Have confidence in the Universe. It is very difficult to just do nothing, for me, and I never give up. But my lessons have been moslty, to wait! To let things happen... Afcourse, one has to do the things needed, but no more than that. This is for the few 'strong' type people, like me! Peace to all.

I SO agree!! I don't know what has happened to the fabric of people these days but all this "entitlement" has made people weak. People think because they have difference of opinions that everyone should bend to them and if you don't, they throw in the towel. I tell my kids all the time to forget the opinions of others UNLESS it's for their own good and that person is an example of where they want to go in life. But as long as your mind is strong and you believe in your vision, then forget what others say or think because we all have a different journey in this life. I thank The Most High for my mother who taught me the same thing and sometimes my strength turns people off but I don't care.....it has saved my life and opened doors for me to help others. LOVED THIS!

I grew up in foster care. I would get hit and called names no child should hear, just for walking into the room, and I hated it. I was told I wasn't shit, and would never amount to anything, and I would live on welfare with a bunch of kids and so on. I always felt like god made a mistake growing up, this nightmare wasn't meant to be my life. Now I know I went through what I went through to make me the strong person I am today both physically and mentally. I sent my kids to college, paid over $130,000 for each I have two, the checks never bounced. I own a lot of rental properties with no mortgage. I don't know if I would have been able to accomplish the things I have had my life been easy. I will never know but I was pretty determined to prove my horrible aunt wrong and I did. Now she is so proud of me, really bitch! I should add that I did it without the help of their father because he felt he didn't need to help so he didn't. Yes you can do it.

@@littlehitta1305 that's a general ass fact everybody knows. And you people need to stop making excuses like oh schooling system sucks. Yes it probably does but still there's greatness coming out of those schools. Still there are people who go through those very schools and still end up on the top. And moreover it has nothing to do with mental strength.
