MERCEDES 410D - AJUSTING BRAKE DRUM SHOES & HANDBRAKE

From time to time you will need to ajust your rear brake drum shoes and your hand brake cable.
So this video is to show you how I do mine on my Mercedes 410D / Hymer S660 motorhome. It's not really a hard job to do, but if your not familiar or comfortable doing this type on maintenance, then you absolutely have to take you vehicle to a local garage and get them do this job for you.
As you braking system is the most critical parts of any vehicle and it needs to be right.

Thanks for another good video Jeff. Glad you spent time to clearly show the way to turn each side of the adjuster to make the shoes go either out or in….it always scrambles my brain when doing this, especially when laid on the ground and reaching in behind the wheels lol

Hi Jason, you ok. I've heard people say on Facebook that they have only adjusted one of the drum shoes and think that is ok, but my video now makes it clear on how to do them correctly.
