I too bought the cheap one but rather then buy another one I simply cut and connected the new wires to the OEM wire harness. Works great for less than 40 bucks! (As for the mirror guys) just turn it all the way opposite the side ( left mirror, turn it all the way right) do this with the controls and then grip it and pull it away from the door. Comes right off.

Anybody struggling to do this. Push the glass into the direction of the car so you can get behind it. Get something flat in there something about an inch wide. Lever off the glass, don't worry you won't break it, if you're worried have a peek inside and you'll see how it's held. Get the glass and disconnect the wires, I didn't like it dangling. Next you have to part of the case off which surrounded the glass, you'll see the way it's held in place, I used a small screwdriver to get the clips open. After this you follow what these guys did.

Step 1. With two hands, give a careful yet deliberate pull on inner mirror glass assembly, pulling mirror loose from mounting bracket and cracking glass. Step 2. Order new mirror glass assembly.

How is this detailed when it starts in the middle of the project? Do you have a motor replacement vid where you show just starting the vehicle???

I agree with all the below, you started in the middle. You say disconnect the wires, but don't show it being done and take out the lighted lenses. OMG did you watch your own video. I did get some info but you really missed the boat.

well it's because your new light is for w204 it has a different connector than w164

If you replaced the indicator and it still doesn’t work, look for a broken wire where the mirror folds. Came here to figure out how to get the mirror glass off myself. Fail.
