It’s worth since one gets a more refined ride, even when the car is 10 year old as compared to a new Honda Civic or a Corolla. Lots of renewed COE aka >10 year old Mercedes W204,W212,W221 in Singapore.

The best C class to date. Wonder if these will appreciate in value in future. Good buy for 2nd hand W204 now. The value has plummented and you can get a fantastic car if u have money for maintenance. It wonderful all round car.

I wonder what’s the maintenance like if you opt for diy for some parts like oil changes , brake changes and spark plugs ? Of course if there’s diagnostics and brake stuffs I’ll send to the pros

Only issue with this car is electronic steering lock (ESL) which they already have a bypass kit and engine cam gear wearing out. Other than that very solid car. Pay extra and get 2010 GGI model. It has more torque and quieter. The Turbo boost is adictive. The infotainment screen also much bigger.

I have bought W204 C200 Kompressor my2009 recently(it is in the service company now to undergo so called 360 degree exam to get info what to repair) and still it is an old car my sense tells me it is the best one I could buy. The kompressor engine is very good with acceleration(as you are telling us: not AMG wise but still enough powerfull to be safe with acceleration). I like the linear performance! PS: my preceding car was GLK 3.5l 6cylinder petrol and still I have better feeling with C Kompressor engine. Even with so low volume! :D

It's not an apple to apple comparison between the w204 Vs E90. It's either you like the apple or the orange. You don't pick the apple because it is better than the orange. Both cars feels different in terms of driving sensation and interior design. In the same price segment which is cheaper than a new Myvi, the E90 323/25 wins in terms of gadgets with the full keyless system, n52 inline-6 engine and i-drive. The Mercedes w204 definitely has a higher quality and classier interior and a tad of a lesser maintenance issue. Both are great cars at its current price, it is up to your choice to pick something that suits your taste bud.

Tough choice, I wish I can marry both cars then it will be an almost perfect car. For day to day driving, I think I would prefer the w204 due to its low end torque, comfort, relaxing cabin and fuel economy but I will miss the E90 when I want to get naughty as the E90 engine is a lot more revvy and the chassis is more engaging on those twisty roads

@@aircommandslipperz E90 320/323/325 is NA, 320D is turbo and this is the one that you want for day to day driving due to its low fuel consumption and torquey engine. F30 feels like a Japanese car already, big and comfortable and soft. If you want BMW's DNA, go for E90. Btw, I have a unit of E90 320d for sale, please pm if you are interested

The Kompressor is more robust. My grandpa has a 200 K and it has 280.000 km, still good. The Komp. can last longer than a turbo.

Even though the price of this merc is on par with new myvi, they still target at different group of people. If you havr RM500+ to spend on car per month and do not have any significant savings? Get a new myvi and enjoy no stress life. If you have RM1000+ to spend on car per month, and 20k in bank lying around doing nothing. Yes get a used c200 and enjoy the ride.

CGI technology is better and more reliable than Kompressor. Spare parts for kompressor can be expensive.

Haha. 😀 Ditect injections, turbo, highpressure fuel pump, carbonized engine... Many expensive problems in the future. Euro 5 cgi is shit compare to kopressor euro 4 with no direct injection. Cgi is problem if reach 200k km ( 120k miles) Kompressor is 500k- 1M km engine.
