For those looking for that camera for the license plate light, there are various designs (4 of them I think) that have to fit the correct shape for your car. Just take a picture and look up the orientation and you should get the correct one that fits your car. Ali express has more detail info for the various options, but I ended up buying mine from amazon once I figured out the correct one as it was faster and cheaper.

Man electrical tape could be your best friend with that wire management, once you have everything connected and working wrapping all the wires together would make it easier to tuck away. I just installed an android head unit + backup camera in my SUV last month, will be getting one for the coupe next month. Thanks for the videos, I they will be a big help when I do mines.

Glad to hear it. I used cloth tape to eliminate rattling. Same stuff most German cars use.

If you use a relay for powering the video the "fuzz" disapears (use the backup light wire for signal to the relay)

Hello. I have a 2005 Mercedes CLS 350, I have placed the rear camera on my Android Isudar PX6 connecting the reverse cable of the camera harness with the back cable, but I have no view of the camera, maybe it is a can-bus problem. I was looking for the reverse cable on the gear lever. Do you know what it is or what color? Thanks.

The reverse signal only acts as a switch to turn on the camera. Save yourself some time and just get the signal from the reverse light in the tail light. Good luck.

If you remove the plastic panel on the boot lid, you should find two holes in the boot lid that are covered with rubber plugs. You can guide the cable through one of those holes by modifying the plug or sealing the hole in another way. It's a way to get the cable inside of the boot lid without drilling any new holes.

If you are listening to music on your radio and hit reverse, does the sound get cut off (muted) when backup camera is on?

Yes, that is normal. Basically it’s like it switches channel.

Man, you could just wire the trigger cable for the camera to the led in the gearshift, instead of the reverse lamp

The reverse cable only acts as a switch to turn the camera on. Just tap into the back up light on your tail lights and save yourself some extra work
