Mercedes E350 brake fluid change DIY Step by Step on W212 E-Class with Flush.

In this video Mike Icee does a brake fluid change and flush on the Mercedes W212 E350 e-class. The factory build is Dot 4 Plus, and the system holds 1/2 a liter. The steps are shown step by step. Also check with Mercedes with for the proper procedure and parts for your car.

MB212 yes it’s an 11, has AMG package and 7G + blue fluid transmission.

Draining at the calipers with this clear hose-to-drain pan method can introduce air into the system. Watch ChrisFix's video on this. Not MB-specific but better methods.

You sir are correct! There will be air in the system. A reservoir with new fluid,under pressure , would be the way to go to flush the system. I think it’s worth to just take it to the shop, it’s not expensive. I personally don’t have the tooling to have the car in 4 jackstands

It's called gravity bleeding and in 20+ years as a professional ASE certified tech, I have never had air enter the system while gravity bleeding. A pressure bleeder makes the process much faster and easier, which we used at the Mercedes dealer where I worked. I have a vacuum system now that I push it into, then let it gravity bleed for a few seconds and have never had a problem with air in the system. That can happen if you attempt to drain the caliper at the hose bolt because it's not the highest point. Fluid coming out under gravity bleeding means no air in the system or else you would see bubbles.

I like using the same compressor assisted vacuum tank that I use with the oil changes. Makes it easy clean and fast. Just a slight vacuum is all you need.

Mercedes says start procedure at right rear, then move to left rear. IIRC Finish at right front as the SBC pump (found on w211) is here making it the closest, hence last. Keep doors closed and DO NOT OPEN as this will wake the Sensotronic Brake Control, and a potential self test. I would be afraid of reservoir emptying should SBC wake up.

I don’t have the tooling or space to lift the car in the air and have it on 4 jack stands. There will be air in the system as soon as you pump fluid through the reservoir, you’ll need to put pressure in the system( 20 PSI ) to bleed the system until you see a color change. Probably I’m better off just taking it to a shop, at the stealership is 150$

The only reason to bleed front front wheels to back or start from drivers side is if you have your ABS module in the rear or located towards the rear of the car.

I don't see how that removes air from the system. The risk is for you to introduce air in the system. Also what you did not tell your viewers that you seem to understand is to keep the tube always facing up from the drain socket, this keeps air from being introduced to the system.
