First gen GL is feared on second hand market but if you KNOW how to buy it you can enjoy good GL

Engines are more reliable than next model x166 v8 in particular. I personally went for the V8 500/550 simply as it was fairly well sorted by 2009 model onwards and not as complicated with turbos. Air suspension is still a problem and expensive, unless in US where Arnott offers both a good product and lifetime warranty. Unfortunately Arnott doesnt offer it in any other country.
