Mercedes Hidden Navigation - what3words | FREE to Use!

There is something in your car that you are not using! Maybe because you don't even know about it. The system is called what3words. It's free, and I'm gonna demo it on this Mercedes, but it's also available on many cars now. And even if your vehicle doesn't have it, you can install it on your smartphone!

How do you share your location today without the what3words app?

Thank you for all your posts. Already bought a tire inflator and a dashcam because of your reviews. Any chance you can provide some tips on cleaning and preventing air conditioner smells and odor? It appears to be a major issue with MB. Maybe you can suggest a product that cleans the coils and how to access the evaporator coils on a 2020 GLE?

Hello master, I have a Glc 220d year 2020, sometimes I get the message on the dashboard saying, STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION, then the steering wheel become really stiff and can not turn at all. What do you think is the problem??? What I normally stop and get off the car then switch everything off, wait for the message on the dashboard to disappear and it will drive normally again. But why this is happening on the car??? Advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

It looks like you're losing the Power Steering, and the wheel turns without the power assist. Check whether your car is still under the manufacturer warranty. In U.S it's 4 years or 50,000 miles, so it should be still under the warranty. If yes, have your MB dealer fix it at no charge. Hard to say without a proper diagnostic. The problem can be mechanical, electric or electronic, or as simple as your car just needs a software update.

You can use it on your cell phone without the car.

@@MBZMaster I know how to use in the phone and downloaded it already. I’m trying to make use of this outdated NAV that I have rather than buying a new android auto compatible head unit. I don’t care about radio, pandora or any other functions. I only want a reliable NAV and a Bluetooth. So the phone is working fine but NAV is quite hassle to use without mirroring the phone.

@@osirian8025 You can also set the Nav destination on Google Maps on your phone and listen to audible (not visual) turn by turn instructions via your car's Bluetooth. Otherwise you need to replace your stock head unit with smartphone compatibility.

@@MBZMaster I’ll just use it for my common addresses and use the phone for all other addresses until I get a chance to replace with an advanced head unit. Thanks for the advice.

Mercedes Navigation is the most stupid system in the world. In many occasions it asked me to take right turn and go to next light and then take a u turn, then come back to the same intersection and then take right turn in stead of going straight.

Hi sir, you are so naughty to make fun of your wife. haha. Unfortunately my primitive vehicle has no navigation function. navigation is seen on my menu but upon clicking it, it will say it is deactivated. My local dealer says no retrofitting available and my country's mercedes me app store isn't ready. So I guess it's a no go for car owners like me?
