Mercedes SLK 230 SuperCharger Belt/Tensioner Pulley Change

How to change the serpentine belt for the Mercedes SLK 230 Supercharger/Alternator, Etc. This car has two belts. The one closest to the front is for the supercharger/alternator. This video covers this.

Thank you for this i was able to get my belt back on one thing i learned from doing this It is easier to access the belt by remiving the fan with just two clips

Nice work in a tight space. How are your knuckles? I had a noisy H20 pump pulley and noisy tensioner on my W212. I am amazed at how quiet she is with those changed out. Gave me a reason to get a set of small, ratcheting, box end wrenches. Those saved me so much time, blood, sweat, and tears. My wife likes your tunes BTW. 👍

Why the hell is the 15 mm deep socket so rare to find in shops and tool sets. They all jump from 14 to 17.

I wondered the same thing. I like walking into a store and getting what i need. Unfortunately this socket is easier found online.

I cannot find this bolt for it ive looked everywhere i stripped the bolt trying to take it off any suggestions

I just have one question why are my belts exactly the same but on the opposite side. Anyone know?

this is what I exactly looking for to fix my slk230, btw - did you have a strange sound from the engine room? or how did you figure it out, it's time to change the tensioner?

WTF? The video starts with him telling us he is going to show how to change both the belts. Then when it gets to the really difficult part, which is the main reason I sought out the video, there is no explanation or actual video of him moving the tensioner and sliding the belt on. Why would you show the outer belt being changed without doing the inner belt first anyway? I don't need 20 minutes of watching him struggle with loosening and tightening a bolt, most people understand what that entails. The tensioner and getting belt over it is the challenge on this car. No video of that part...a bouncy 30 seconds of video and viola....it is back together, front belt only.
