To me, this song is the definition of symphonic metal. Floor's rendition is amazing. The lyrics, as usual, only really make sense to Tuomas himself, but they're open to interpretation.

Maybe it's because simply ALL Nightwish does, embodies every single spectrum of life? Every sound they produce places itself firmly somewhere in our brain, our body and becomes touchable? Tuomas' brain knows excactly what the listener, viewer, needs, to absorb all aspects of 'intuitively received sound, transformed, one on one, into deeply and heartfelt emotional experience'. Floor's voice fits NW's music more than 100%, there's no escape anymore, we have all being totally taken over! Are we left, beautifully being brainwashed? It's a mystery/maybe there really are no words to explain this decades long experience we undergo, with love.

Hello Beagle! "Live at Wacken", that's all I've got to say! This was the 10th song in the set. The spoken words need investigating... Depth of the lyrics. The lights are really part of the band, "Crewish". "Moomins" banner! The fans with their national flags. Oh, an "Out of body" experience? Another place, dimension. Very healing, musical therapy. Yes, definitely!

Tuomas wrote the best Nightwish album (n my opinion)Imaginaerum, done so well by Anette. But, in Floor, he must have thought he had struck gold. This is the opening song of my favourite album from the Tarja era, _Century_ _Child,_ which means it's also the first song with Marko. His last was _Endlessness,_ about time and cycles, speaking of an unborn child and how death becomes birth. If you think about how he was feeling when he left - his depression and lack of validation - there's a kind of spooky connection with the lyrics here. Coincidence I know, but it's still affecting. Thank you for introducing us to your dog!

@@tommy8159 Carpenter didn't do the trick for me. I'm pretty sure I had heard at least that song before Oceanborn, but I can't remember for sure. Oceanborn instead was just what I needed. I had similar thoughts with my brother in 1996, to play kind of neo-classical power metal with female vocalist, but then I needed to go to army (and I even sold my guitar to get some money). When I first heard Oceanborn I was sold in seconds. My initial though was that this is exactly what I would have loved to do, but NW had done it so well, that we never even tried.

Oceanborn was even better I remember how we waited and so excited 😊 Did you get good money for the guitar back then?

You are right about every now and then, someone really special comes along. With due respect to everyone in Nightwish past and present, we have at least two incredibly special talents right now before our eyes and heart and soul. I refer of course to Tuomas and Floor. If ever there were two souls destined to come together musically, it has to be these two. Add another 4 world class musicians, and you have Nightwish!

As you get further into the NW catalogue and some deeper tracks - try the following hidden gems from the Buenos Aires concert - Come Cover Me, Gethsemane, Sacrament of Wilderness and Deep Silent Complete. Older NW that they revisited at that concert. Truly underappreciated by other reactors and would love to see you react to them. Really enjoyed this one as I also think Bless this Child is underappreciated.

Great reaction guys. Their is also a great official music video for this song with Tarja that you should checkout if only for yourselves. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2aVknSXbruee80 Has the lyrics in CC and you get to see a much younger Nightwish. This was the first song after the mid concert Instrumental Last of the Wilds where Floor was changing her outfit. There was some difficulty with her outfit and you see her rushing on staqe and almost being late. You can see the zipper under her left arm isn't all the way to the top.
