Some types of tuna are good to consume, and certain types are bad. This is because certain types contain 3 times as much mercury. Mercury interferes with certain enzymes involving selenium.
Some fish have more selenium than others. The mercury in the environment that the fish are exposed to might not affect you too much if the fish is high in selenium. This is because selenium can counter mercury. But, if there is too much mercury in the fish, it can lock up the selenium enzymes, making them inactive.
This can create a lot of different symptoms, including:
• Tremors
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Insomnia
• Muscle weakness
• Twitches
• Mood swings
Types of tuna that have lower amounts of mercury:
• Skipjack tuna
• Canned light tuna
Better options to consume:
• Canned salmon (sockeye or pink Alaskan)
• Wild-caught sardines
Types of tuna that have high amounts of mercury:
• Albacore tuna (canned white tuna)
• Ahi tuna (yellowfin tuna and bigeye tuna)
Kids may want to only consume infrequent amounts of tuna-maybe just once a month. Certain cultures consume dolphins or whales. Both of these are going to have very high amounts of mercury.

Sharing my success story Dr. Berg, as per your video on B1. I stopped taking my Copaxone injections after 21 years, I'm 66 and so far I have had no relapses of my M.S. I did have a lot of numbness in my feet and lower legs, always did. Since taking B1 at least every other day I have found that I have more feeling in my feet and no more really uncomfortable numbness. My feet always felt either boiling hot or so cold they felt hot like a dry ice kind of cold. They are much better now and I am sleeping better, without discomfort and pulling my feet in and out of the covers through the night... LOL. God bless you and thank you :)

I love you, Dr Berg ❤I weaned my mom off all of her pharma drugs by switching them to vitamins/supplements you had mentioned in your videos. Switched: *Eloquis to Lumbrokinase *Statin to Tocotreinol E, niacin(also for her schizophrenia paranoia), and recently have added potassium(Nusalt) for insulin resistance for she is pre-diabetic. 😢I took your warning ⚠️ We switched our synthetic b-complex to natural version of your nutritional yeast and also have added chlorella. She’s taking D3 with mega dose K2 for her artery calcification and her calcium not going into her bones. She’s also taking boron for her bone. Her posture looks better and less fragile. It worked super fast. She’s feeling great and looking good~ I’ve also started taking Lumbrokinase to clean my arteries and I no longer have lingering headaches I had suffered for so many years. I’m also taking tocotrienol and I feel fantastic! May angels protect you and your family. May God richly bless you with continue wisdom and knowledge in what you do and may it all return to you and your future generations a hundred-fold. Together we unite and stand against the corrupt medical system. I love you ❤️😘💕 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@gunner5916 it only tastes good to you because you have trained yourself to like it. Thinking that, " what is good for you tastes bad." Is not an original idea. It's propaganda put out there by the folks who profit by selling you poison. Your body naturally craves quality nutrition. That natural tendency has been subverted and can be reignited by feeding your body what it most needs. After you are off the poisons for a while, they don't seem as appealing.

I don’t buy any tuna since the turn of the century. A relative of mine had her son treated by Gary Null for Mercury poisoning from fish. The kid was 12 years old. This family would eat fish 5 times a week. Now Mercury free and healthy.

Chub mackerel is a good option too. It’s cheaper than salmon. A little bit less omega 3s but still a good fish.

If you get canned tuna and it says “tuna in water” make sure you read the labels as it always isn’t the case. Some cans of Tuna clearly state water but there is vegetable broth if you read the can! Just a tip !

It is difficult to get your head around all this information.. Especially when you have 30+ Tuna Tins shocked up 🙈🙈.. nutritional information takes so much time and so much research to find the right single product. Here in the UK we have a fish brand called John west .. Would you know if this brand is any better? And would a label of RSPCA animal safety make a product any better. And would rinsing the fish under water make any difference.. Much appreciated Dr Berg always a pleasure to see your notifications.

Eating it with selenium rich foods would solve the problem. For example nutritional yeast is one of the richest source of selenium. Brazil nuts also. One could make a sauce with those.

Hi Dr Berg, at just over 1.00 in you say canned light tuna is a good option then afterwards say it's one to avoid, have I misunderstood it? Great work 🙂

My understanding is that skipjack reproduce quicker and have shorter lifespans thus less time to take in toxins like mercury and others. So the older fish = more accumulation. I do like the Wild Planet brand, the taste to me is much better than say Starkist or Chicken of the Sea.

Only tuna I ever eat is sushi or in a Poke bowl which is also raw sashimi tuna, albacore or yellowtail but that's less than once a week so I'm not worried. I do love canned sardines or mackerel but detest canned tuna.

@Bread Sandwich I remember seein a program 30yrs back sayin that each time ya chew, a little gas of mercury is let off, and they showed this person havin all the amalgams pulled out and replaced with the white stuff...Everyone has different responses to each chemical..so even though I am not affected does not mean others are not as well...Hope everthin goes good for ya,,,good luck

I eat tuna only from cans, and only under duress. If I have any choice at all, I'd eat a stick of butter first. My fish is always either salmon, caught in the White River, or bluegill, taken from the lake. But fresh fish is seasonal, even salmon, until we are eating smoked salmon once the frozen is gone, usually just before the ice breaks, hunting season is over, and I'm contemplating the sorry facsimile fish in a can.
