7:12 not entirely true. Steve did track down Isaiah through first identifying those responsible for what happened and made certain ONE of them was punished. Price, the man who shot the army major. He became CEO of Koch industries after the Cold War. Koch was the scientist experimenting on the Nazis version of the serum in that death camp Isaiah broke into. He was also in phenomenal shape for a man his age thanks to some obvious use of their serum. Steve used the back payments that he had received following his resurrection from the ice to buy majority stock in that company to get access to prices military records. He got them declassified and his stooge was willing to verify his culpability because he was a Captain America fan. Unfortunately, he chose to commit suicide rather than face justice. But at least in that small regard Steve made certain that these horrendous actions could never be repeated to anyone again. He may not have been able to help the Bradley family or Isaiah directly, but he did ensure his brothers in arms were avenged.

Red skull probably would have killed him. He has a habit of killing people he doesn't think is worthy of being Captain America. It was after Professor Erskine was killed during Steve's origin not before. They had lost most of his work because it was in his head so they had to basically start from scratch.

No matter how hard I look, I can’t find anything about the controversy this comic series created. It turned the world of Marvel on its head and the many racist/purists were infuriated that their beloved Captain America was defamed by a black guy in the same red white and blue. It was so bad even the media covered it. However, the funny thing about it all is, had there really been an experiment such as this, it would have been performed on poor Black people first before whites, especially during that time in American history as witnessed through the Tuskegee experiment. So it really is more believable that the original Captain America is black, and way more convincing and more truthful to have realized a black Captain America first. “Truth” is my most coveted comic series.
