Don't mind sayin, for as much people said the first seasons were done on a low budget and without much backing...everyone, right down to the techies and production crew...nailed it. For a rural/suburban Michigan guy that was first generation raised off a farm and lived in a world of cliques made of jocks, hicks, druggies and nerds...Letterkenny was an instant favorite. I hadn't heard of it till a friend called me and said I was like Wayne back when I was in my 20s (I was a nice guy but I used to fight at the drop of a hat until I calmed down in my 30s). One watch later I couldn't get enough. Well done, man! Many thanks to all of you that brought us so much laughter.

With Letterkenny, what kills me, is to hear my local accent on screen. It's an emphasized one, for sure, but the quirks in turns of phrase, such as erroneous plurals done by Squirrelly Dan, are real things that people do around here. Letterkenny is based off a small town about 40 mins from me called Listowel. The chirping (insults) are common, as since we don't have too much to do, we play with language as a way to pass the time... But the plurals thing, I was at a funeral for the grandmother of one of my inlaws, and her grandson was giving a really lovely eulogy, and I had to bite the inside of my cheek because all I could hear was a very heartfelt Squirrelly Dan. My favourite part of Letterkenny is the fact that I got my American pal more hooked on it than I am. lol

when I first saw this intro my reaction was like so many people: "WHAT. IS. THIS?!?!?!?!!?" And I was addicted instantly. Letterkenny is, like so many comedies playing on exaggerated stereotypes, in this case of rural Ontario/Canada - but depending on where you go, it's not by that much - it's pretty funny how so many of these are pretty close to reality. They've just packaged the dialogue into some Shakespeare, Drake, and the Trailer Park Boys had an illegitimate love child.

My wife and I are Michiganders and have watched the entire series through at least 3 times now. Been to the Letterkenny Live tours three times (Chicago, Detroit, Kalamazoo) and even bought an "Alberta Beef" baseball cap. The dialogue is spectacular and the sound track is brilliant as well. Season 5 episode 6 Bock et Biche when Wayne becomes entranced by Marie Fred, Harmonium's "Un musicien parmi tant d'autres" plays in the background. This is how I've discovered a number of Canadian artists, and even dived into Quebec's rock music scene. Lady C in the Season 10 finale was just incredible as well... I could go on but just wanted to say, kudos to the crew that made this gem possible, the cast that did such a consistently fantastic job, and the writers for giving us a window into the culture of the best neighbors a country could ever had. From Sea to Sea, Ut Incepit Fidelis Sic Permanet.

It's set in rural Ontario, because the actor who plays Wayne, Jared Keeso co-creator/writer, grew up in a small town in rural Ontario. I'm a Maritimer and we have out own slang and it's similar in delivery. Cutting sarcasm, Scottish and Irish slang so outsiders don't undertand it. Wayne was my favourite character from the get. Those cliques exist in every small town it seems (skids=stoners). There's a row almost every weekend. Check out Shoresy, it's the spinoff to Letterkenny. You do have to have an understanding of hockey or at least it helps. Shouldn't be a problem for you. Keep your stick on the ice. The first time we watched this we were laughing so hard we had to keep pausing it and rewinding to catch all the dialouge. It was too good to miss.

Agree with all the positive comments, as a west coaster, I loved the French and Indian aspect especially well done. Must watch them all

As an American hockey player, 4:55 is definitely how non-hockey people who don’t have respect for the sport feel about us. What’s amazing is this guy says this, and straight up plays a hockey team captain in a different series

Letter Kenny has an earthy wit I’ve only experienced in Canada. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Pleased that someone from away can appreciate the dialogue and that particular quickness of wit. Good work buddy.😂

It's so crazy seeing this show achieve recognition outside of Canada. I'm from the same small Ontario town as Jared Keeso and can absolutely confirm the culture on the show is dead accurate to real life, at least back in the 90s - 00's when he used to live here. MoDeans and Sir Bills from the show used to be real places, and it's crazy seeing them on-screen.

Nice man! When they introduce the shorsey character there's some pretty gold material there too.

As a guy who grew up in rural Ontario, this show really speaks to me. It reminds me of a lot of my experiences as a kid growing up in farm country Southern Ontario.

Lots of Listowel Ontario slang here. "How are ya now?" is a common greeting in SW Ontario. In Newfoundland it's "What're ya at?" or What are you at? I love Letterkenney. These guys and gals are really funny.

My wife and I were going to a multi-family event in Belleville, Ont and as various small groups of people were walking towards the house, two people recognized each other we heard a good loud "How'r ya now?!" "Good 'n you?" - my wife grabbed my arm trying to stifle her laugh at how spot on Letterkenny was.

Loved this series. The characters and dialogue (especially the cadence) are top notch. Can't wait for you to meet Shoresy and Coach. I've never been more on board with a group of characters than the end of the season 8 finale. Episode 2 is waiting for you. Pitter patter...
