Select "The Summoning Pits" strike on the Moon and then increase the difficulty from Easy to Normal(320+ Light). When you defeat the boss at the end you will get up to 385 light drops. Easiest way to 385 for sure

1.Equip your highest rated armors and weapons (even if you don't like them, just do it) 2. Don't decrypt all engrams at the same time. Decrypt one at a time 3. Put on the higher Light item, doesn't matter if it sucks. Go back to cryptarch and decrypt next one 4. Rinse and repeat. You will get higher Light items much faster this way.

+Mesa Sean When it comes to ranking up Petra, there's another way to do so which a lot of people don't know about or have forgotten. If you do the level 34 & 35 Prison of Elders, you get 2 GUARANTEED ETHERIC LIGHT which then you can turn in for rep at 150 each! Doing that on 3 characters per week should net you 900 REP on top of the weekly bounties; so in total you should be getting about 2000+ rep per week. I'm currently trying to get the full Queen Armor set for my Hunter but I'm missing the boots and guantlets.

It is also worth saying that the first Public Event you do on a character each day will reward 15 legendary marks and at least 1 legendary engram. This can be done on all 3 characters rewarding 45 legendary marks a day and at least 3 legendary engrams every day! Use a public events tracking app to get this done faster. Give all engrams to your highest level character to decrypt and use the legendary marks to buy legendary engrams from the cryptarch. Try and but engrams that are your lowest level piece of gear. Use any duplicate level gear to transfer and infuse your two alternate characters up to a higher level.

After playing 1 for a while again I have found that the only possible way to advance in 2021 and gain light is doing lvl 36 taken strikes (because that makes sense) they just so happen to be the only strike Playlist that is still active, to a degree. So far I've been gaining 1-2 light per strike so if that doesn't get you in they destiny grind mood, I don't know what does.

IB is a godsend. Went from 392 to 396 on my main, 396 to 398 on my 2nd, and 398 to 399 on my 3rd. Finally got 400 with the mongrel ogre's grasp drop yesterday! Now have my 2 warlocks at 400 and my hunter at 398. All with no raids or trials.

Great info. You should add that ANY engram you open, thats higher than the gear you have on, should be equipped BEFORE opening the next engram. This can really speed up leveling to 385, since the light isnt determined till you open the engram.

Right now I'm at 395/396 light and I'm at that golden point where 400 gear is super rare and super awesome when it drops. Like I finished the raid and got a 400 light fever and remedy on my hunter (which is ironic cuz I'm home sick) and got a 400 light 77 wizard from my warlocks true meaning of war shaxx bounty.

I was getting 390 ghosts and artifacts in Archon's Forge a few days ago, at least 6 ghost at 389 and a few at 390. Same with the artifacts.. One blue was my 390 artifact! on a side note I've noticed that infusing gear can give higher light than either of the two pieces! last example was using exotic legs for Infusion fuel. They were 391 exotic legs and when I put it into my legendary letsmy legs they became 392!

grind skeleton keys for a helmet gloves class item primary secondary and heavy then arkon's forge for ghost relic and then exotic engrams for torso and boots

I am and have been doing it on three characters since drop. I have satellite internet. So no strikes, nightfalls, raid, trials, crucible, iron banner. I'm at 385 on all three. I have been using the Iron Tomb three of coin roll to get exotic engram's. I have 66 in the vault I haven't opened. Oh and legendary engram's can open above 385. Not often, but the do I have gotten several at 386 , 387. I also run forge all three solo. On the perfected Sivas, if I don't have 2min, I pick up the Siva drops and bail. He is right you can do it , its a grind though.

Iron Banner is definitely the best way to get to 400 from 390. Each bounty gives you an armor or weapon and IB seems to award MUCH higher levels than the skeleton keys. I was at 390 on Tuesday, now at 397 thanks to a pair of 398 and a pair of 400 IB rewards.

I usually just played a lot of crucible, you get weapons and armour from shaxx and usually after match’s. (Plus you get better at crucible if you don’t rage)

Sup Mesa Sean, Your channel was recommended to me...specifically this video. Probably because I have recently started to look at Destiny content. You see...I quit playing Destiny in March 2016...because of Division....but I am thinking of coming back to Destiny....Does this way of leveling still work? This video is a few months old. I am not sure how to get back started. I have one character Level 320, and my other two characters are level 319. I am not gonna lie...I was real pissed at the old leveling system.....The grind to level 320 was really terrible.
