In this video, I show you how to use Meshmixer to prepare your model for 3D printing, specifically on a resin 3D printer. This is a step-by-step tutorial that you can follow to 3D print your models more quickly, efficiently, and with better success rates. I demonstrate the process using a miniature tree that I designed in my previous Blender tutorial. Meshmixer is great if you plan to 3d print large objects. In this example, I want to print this tree for use in 28 mm tabletop gaming, but at that scale, the tree does not fit entirely into my printer's build volume and takes longer than I'd like for it to print. By using Meshmixer, I can slice the model into pieces so that I can fit it onto my printer and reduce the print time. This also allows me to reduce the number of supports used on the model, or print entirely without supports. Check out the video and let me know what you think!
