One of my friend’s dads married a girl who is two years younger than me! My friend is three years older than myself and he’s the youngest of four. The wedding was cute and a little uncomfortable for a bunch of us there. Young bride is very Catholic, and most of the groom’s kids and their friends are practicing witches. Being a witch in a church is a very weird feeling. The ring bearer stated that if he couldn’t wear his Pan horns, he’d sit outside in the rain.

I REALLY hope at least one person at that brunch makes that assumption outloud. Honestly the idea of it being acceptable to date so far out of one's age range that one's CHILDREN are a closer age group! That sickens me and yes I know of people who had this dynamic or at least a significant age gap and that's why I'm biased, increasingly more so the longer I think about those I knew had that experience.

Read a story once written by a man whose 24 year old daughter was dating a man that was three years older than the OP. He didn't like his daughter dating anyone this old. OP and his wife talked about it. OP made complete friends with the other man, inviting him over for guys' nights watching games, and drinking beer. Anytime his daughter was around with her boyfriend OP made sure to make bonding moments with the man talking about long past events that happened when they were young. Totally turned the girl off, she began to see the man as her dad's contemporary rather than her boyfriend. She ditched the guy and took to dating age appropriate guys.
@keriannekerr1876 Жыл бұрын
This is a life hack every parent should know. It wouldn't work in my family however as my then 25 year old sister seemed to spend the previous decade going out of her way to oppose every rule mom had and ended up dating/living with a 52 year old man who I think had a mental disability and was being partially supported by his own brother though not living with him. My mom at the time was around 55 and since mom doesn't socialize and grew up in a different country and is a different race she wouldn't be able to have bonding moments with him even as a ploy. Mom doesn't bond with anyone not friends nor family and we were raised with the expectation to be the same. Eventually my sister's finances were too dire to continue living away from home so she came back but it's too tense a home living situation as my sister still has all her own mental health issues that I don't think she's working on because then she can't claim victimhood status BPD and I did try to learn about it to try being supportive but gave up because 1)she didn't seem to be making any progress 2) I'm living with my PTSD brother in my mom's rental and 3) I have dysthymia 4) mom doesn't believe in mental health affecting one's ability to succeed or just thinks praying, reading the bible and believing god controls everything will solve all our problems so all in all my sister's complaints about not getting enough support is crowded out by the fact we all need emotional or medicinal support and can't help her needs at the expense of our own. Especially since she seems to purposely antagonize and then get hurt when we are distant. By knowing she has BPD should also mean she is aware of how her actions impact others and find a balanced alternative instead of then complaining how she used to be a people pleaser as though that's a extreme defect and not just a phase many go through as they figure themselves out.

I don't understand how the hotels that allow the scam talent agency don't get put on blast. Like yeah they're a customer and "it's just business". But they're using your location for illegal activity. SCAMS are ILLEGAL. That's literally not good. If more hotels reject these type of clients, then there'd be way less of them since they have no where legitimate to go; they'd have to go to sketchy places.

I'm like that with a certain true crime youtuber, but I don't know why. Can not sit through a video despite the production value. Realistically you shouldn't project that onto them and assume they are secretly bad people just because something about them triggers you. It's entirely possible there was some bad experience in your past that you subconsciously associate with some trait or quirk of theirs that is setting you off and is entirely a you problem and not a them problem. Please stop encouraging irrational hate towards total strangers. This type of shit is what gets random creators or celebrities harassed, stalked, and doxed and for no reason. The irrational hate mob that went after CORPSE comes to mind as a prime example of people with your toxic mentality.

Never leaving the house, not even going into your own yard for some sunshine and fresh air was a major contribution to my SILs death recently, imho, even though the autopsy said it was congestive heart failure.

@jacklow9611 Жыл бұрын
@@erikarussell1142: I'm not sure why she would never leave the house (and she always kept her curtains closed tight) and demanded that the gates to the yard always be locked tight. She was disabled because of her last job, as being as overweight as she was and having to stand to do her job ruined her back and legs, but for the first couple of years after she had to quit her job she was able to get out to do something in her yard (she'd take a chair out and pull weeds, or just sit on the porch) but she soon wouldn't do more than just sit in the house watching TV and do little else other than pet her pet dogs and go to the bathroom. I also have a feeling that she had developed some kind of mental condition where she became somewhat of a control freak that took on a paranoid aspect, or one where she would verbally attack someone for an imagined slight (or she tried to control someone who resisted) which in my case would last for a couple of months and then she'd be all nice and sunshine. My brother was totally devoted to her, but she somehow got the idea that he was trying to kill her because she had told him that if something happened to her she did not want to be resuscitated, which he told her doctor. I'm still not sure why she would get mad at me every once in a while (could it be because I refused to let her control me?) and then be all sunshine and rainbows when she got over her mad. In the end, she just seemed to give up on living and gave up her life. the last time I saw her, she was in her "liking me stage", but had lost a lot of weight because she wouldn't eat much of anything and told me all the "bad things" that my brother was doing to kill her, and saying that he wouldn't do anything around the house, and also saying that he didn't know how to do ANYTHING at all. He actually was doing as much as he could, because he was more disabled than she was, simply because she WOULDN'T do anything.

@@erikarussell1142: It was, at times, but more so for my brother than for me. Her death hit him hard, but I'm sure he'll survive. I've known him all his life (he's younger than I am and was 'coddled' by our parents for longer than I thought they should have) so I know him better than most, and while he often needed to have someone telling him what to do, he seems to be taking charge of his own life now. I think he has finally realized that he needs to do that exact thing. I'll support him emotionally as much as I can, but I'm not going to tell him what he "needs" to do.

The 57-year-old dating the 25 year-old reminds me of my father, who was in an 3 to 4 year on again off again relationship with my then best friend who is only a year older than me at the time and I was 26. The part that would throw people off was that I’m the one who introduced them and encourage them to be happy together.

The whole year leading up to my 22nd birthday I kept joking that I have nothing else to expect from adulthood and have therefore decided that I will be turning 21 again. I kept the joke going for a whole year. On the day of my 22nd birthday, my friends brought me a cake with 21 candles, genuinely thinking that I was turning 21 years old. These were the same people I went to school with and somehow I tricked them into thinking that I was younger than them 😅

That 'celebrities I hate for no reason' tik tok was funny and I relate to it. Since it was in a video made by Charlotte, our Petty Queen and Potato Queen, I thought I'd also share celebrities I can think of that I don't like, and I don't even know why. Note that if they have been involved in anything that doesn't look good for their reputation or image or character, I am unaware of it. I don't follow celebrity almost never since 2010, anything I do learn is by accident. Again, these are celebrities I dislike for NO reason. I don't know why I don't like them. Something about them is off-putting somehow. Either I'm imagining things or my spidey senses are tingling. Either way I can't ignore it. Russel Brand. Madonna. Mark Zuckerberg. Ryan Seacrest. Gwyneth Paltrow. Miley Cyrus. Lady Gaga. Angelina Jolie. Ariana Grande. Tom Cruise. There are more I dislike but I have reasons for not liking them, good ones. The likes of Trump, Kanye West, The Kardashians and more are all on there.
