I’ve noticed you’ve mentioned your AHDH in your videos recently, i was just recently diagnosed with autism (I’m 22) and although slightly different it’s still nice to hear people talking about their neurodiverdent-ness! It’s got such a stigma around it so it’s great to see you embracing it:)

Yes, I was going to say the same thing… I haven’t heard you mention this before. I’ve recently learned a lot more about ADHD and how the brain can truly be different. I’m still trying to accept my diagnosis w/ it in my 30s - but it sure does explain a lot about me. And the more you know then the more you can grow

I like the idea of the bins so much more then the bags, you can see everything you have at a glance instead of sifting through. Great idea especially for little ones, then you know what games they actually are playing and when it's time to declutter.

Loved this! Our board game situation is a hot mess right now, but with less than 1000 squ ft for a family of four my task at hand is definitely finding some space saving options while decluttering + organizing. I’m with you though in not being able to do bags, so we’ll see how this goes! 😅

Great video I have really enjoyed your series. I have 3 boys and 1 daughter. Your videos remind me of raising them and how maintaining your house and always doing a decluterring check makes it easier. I kept my kids favorite games from when they were kids and when they all come over they will sometimes get the games out and play with them. It's really fun. And now that all my kids have kids the games have came in handy because my grandkids love playing these same special games. It brings back special memories. Thanks for sharing and keeping it real on your channel because things happen but you let others now that it's ok and you just go with the flow. 😊👍🤗

I had this conversation with my in-laws just last month. Despite the fact that they're nearing retirement their lives looked much different 5 years ago than it does today. Keeping all of their things from back then doesn't match their current lifestyles. No matter how old we are we will never stop decluttering because we continue to grow and change.

I remember the bookends! Yep you thrifted them! I know you didn't mention it but a blanket basket has been a game changer for us for our kids. There's no way that little kids can keep blankets folded or put them on a ladder but the basket is perfect. They have their own in their room because it's one of the things I let them have multiples of.

💛Books and games!!! So hard to let go of. I never thought I would let go of my books, but I have given away thousands since I started my decluttering journey a year and a half ago. I still have shelves and boxes and bins filled with books to go through. I do a few at a time. Sometimes it's one or two. Sometimes it's 25 or 30 at once...Or a box or three. Whatever I'm ready to say goodbye to. I usually only count items when I am doing a counting challenge. It would be interesting to know exactly how many books I have decluttered so far, but I lost count long ago. I just know it's a lot and I have a lot more to go. But I am noticing. Shelves are being emptied out. But I kept "Little Blue Truck" and I wrote a poem about that one for Candice @Simply This Life when it was in her declutter pile a few months ago. Thanks, Natalie! Great tips and ideas. I'm glad you used the boxes instead of Cricket labels.

I decluttered a bunch of books last year. I sold some that belonged in a niche market on eBay. I kept a large handful from my favorite author who wrote”Girl with a Pearl Earring". I've read all ten or eleven of her books. Then I kept favorites from other authors such as Sylvia Plath and Ernest Hemingway. I got rid of about 65%, of my books and kept the rest in a small open wooden shelf. I go through periods where I can't focus on reading, so the only thing I read is magazines. But what a wonderful thing clearing clutter is, I agree Natalie!!😻😻

And even when they’re older and grown there will be seasons of life when you are consuming products and making room for new ones. I reinforced a game box for long rectangular game boards then added all game pieces into that box. When the games were played I oversaw the process until they learned to not spread game pieces everywhere. A bit of a pain yet better use of limited space. It was a worthwhile tradeoff. Now I have a few games for when littles visit. That is enough. 💛 I do enjoy your 'moderation in all things' philosophy. Life is rarely all or nothing.
