Just got mine today. I tried the 3 and the 3s and the 3 is definitely not worth an extra $200. The 3s rocks but this is also my first vr headset. Glad they gave us a good budget friendly option.

(My opinion) The 256gb is £/$400 and the quest 3 512gb is £/$470 i think you are better off just saving an extra 70 for better graphics and pancake lenses (night and day to the Fresnel)

I own pico 4 and just bought 3S for a christmas gift. Have to say, compulsory phone app just to set it up and access basic features that could be accessable from the headset is god awful.

256Gb for 400$ is quite stupid imo, Why go for that when you can opt for the 512GB Quest 3 for an extra 100$ I think this just acts as a bridge so the 256Gb buyers would consider dumping the extra 100$ for the 3

Please don't censor this post, as it's imperative that your viewers know this FACT about Meta VR devices: A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners (for sim'ing or gaming): I'm on day 8 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and I have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 8 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it. Conclusion: Think carefully before you BUY anything from Meta; The thing you BUY will not be yours.

missing jack for headphones is dealbreaker for me. Same goes in choolsing a smartphone.

I still own a occulus Quest but I am thinking of Switching over to Meta because I can NOT AFFORD a NEW Meta Quest rite now. HOPE they go down in price at some point and time. But until then I am most likely going to be switching over to Meta to contue to play with my occulus quest as it has been awhile. Lol. I have the Quest 3 but get what you can afford. There's a reason the Quest 2 outsold the Quest 3 despite having the better optics and the better processor and mixed reality and games. The price.
