Great interview here. Sometimes one thinks the entire investing world is crazy and then you hear from a calm in the storm and you realize as a “value” investor you’re not crazy. - growth and value can be one in the same if you’re trying to value a company - long term outlook gives a competitive advantage - the market can make you question your assumptions just as it can be the most costly mistake Pure gold here and ranks up there with some of the great talks in buying things for less than they’re worth. The true meaning of value investing in my book.

I had gotten away from value for some time and with the uncertainty surrounding Fed Rates and the Ukraine War it has been easy to get back to fundamentals. Thank you for your consistency and valuable insight.

Kind of weird that a Facebook/Meta bull isn’t interested in the Meta verse when that’s likely to make or break them this decade.

the FB expert that has no intention of understanding Meta.

He makes a compelling case for meta, but the real question is are you comfortable profiting off of the success of the most evil company that has ever existed and is ripping our country and the world apart? These rage merchants make $$$ by making you angry and depressed. I don’t think any amount of money would be enough for me sleep at night while supporting them.

That is like those who blame guns for the criminals who kill people. Dont buy it if you dont like it but your analysis would apply every form of communication from newspapers to radio / tv, to internet/

@@westnash I don’t think you understand the level of AI/ML that Facebook uses to try to get people and children addicted to wasting time on their site. The day I decided to stop using Facebook I became way happier. I think a better analogy would be to compare Facebook to if gun manufacturers got congress to lower the age people could buy guns to 10 years old then started advertising buying hand guns on Mickey Mouse.

It's the news organizations that are ripping the country apart with their inflammatory articles. Facebook only shows you what you like to watch anyway. You should blame the source of the problem (CNN, FOX News and so on). Facebook has nothing to do with it.

Karen, please. If Facebook makes you angry and depressed, you don’t need to speak for everyone else’s experience. It sounds like you are describing right wing media, tbh.
