I like the fact that it's ip rated. My Dewalt Atomic Impact wrench got a couple drops of water on it, and the lights stopped working.

Honestly my sweet spot for this level of impact has been my 3/8th stubby. The m12 is just so much smaller and the new 2.5 m12 battery gives it all the power it needs right in the handle, so no protruding battery. If the stubby didn't exist then this would be a solid contender. Kind of wish it had a collet in the middle of the anvil like the boshe does so it can actually be used as an impact driver as well as wrench, as you said the specs are much more impact driver

I really wish they made these in 3/8” drive. Always having a run a reducer for smaller bolts that need to be removed.

As always, great review!! Thanks for showing us what’s available from other less popular name brands. Really like the Metabo / Hitachi tools. I think they “cranked up” the IPM’s to help get the most break away out of a smaller tool, something I like!!

Interesting in the higher impact feel. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, I know that with my type gamer that word faster impacting seems to be easier on the ears. Almost satisfying to hear. I'm sure this will get some getting used to, I like the smaller taps but it seems to limit overall torque. So really would like to know how this would compare to other impact wrenches

More designed to run lag bolts, carriage bolts/nuts all day vs lug nuts and the such. The higher IPM keeps the work fast and efficient.

I don't agree that the higher IPM makes it faster or more efficient. In a race, the compact milwaukee with less power will win. The higher IPM has less force and you have to stay impacting longer to get to spec torque. That is just the experience I had with it.

I’ve beat up on the older mhpt wr18dbdl more than any tool I’ve ever had left outside weeks on end in the elements and it’s still kicking rotating tires removing mower blades etc. now I’ve killed some batteries but the tool is fine….I think that the higher ipm 9”on an impact wrench is a nice experiment…really nothing more. I’d like to see their barrel grip and their version of the surge a KZbinr by the Name of eda castle uploaded a vid of it like a year ago,.. it’s a 18v / 14.4 v tool and it seemed quiet and nice model number whp18dbdl or something like that but you have to import from Japan that and their new miter saw is interesting
