I do construction and work on antique tractors with lots of rusty bolts-I can't have tools that don't work-We have 5 different mid torques and the only one that fried was the Kobalt and the MHPT has been the torquiest and longest used other than the Milwaukee-I'm not a fanboy of any color just a fanboy of good tools and in our experience the MHPT mid torque has been a champ-just letting others know that one person's experience is different from yours

7 mo. ago Kobalt didn't have a "mid-torque" you more than likely had the one that's basically there impact (driver) with a 1/2 inch anvil and ran the crap out of it trying to use it like a mid-torque. 5 different mid-torque impacts?! Why would you.......nevermind.

He has a lemon as our MHPT' mid torque consistently removes bolts that the Milwaukee, Makita and New Ridgid cant

Ive got the 18v half inch impact. Its rowdy enough to break my Tahoe lug nuts loose. 140ft-lbs(fluid longs, iced lattes, whatever unit of measurement ya like... Hah!) And its broken several 185ft lb axle nuts loose, gets them just about to 165ft lbs if ya spin the nut down and ugga dugga for about 5 seconds. It WAY outperformed my expectations. My main issue now is lusting after the 36v tools. I really dont NEED the 36v tools, but yknow how dudes and tools go. I want the rowdiest and gnarliest tool in all the land! Else the Bros will know dah pepe is smol.. Hhahahahaja! For real, the 18v tools with 36v battery packs NEVER run out of sauce. Ever.

I won't give a thumbs down but you should at least read the manual. I have noticed how hot a thght nut gets and believe just letting it hammer raises the heat enough to take a nut off.

Wow even the New Ridgid Subcompact 1/2 broke the 500ft faster than this 🤣 it did it with a 6Amp battery, but still. I'd expect a midtorque with a bigger hammer mechanism and lowest amp battery to be able to handle that without too much issue.

@@baseballdude8491 Are you running it with the same 2.5Amp Battery? I have the Gen 1 and 2 Milwaukee Midtorque's and the Ridgid Octane midtorque all 3 can take off Big rig lug nutts torqued to 500ft faster than this did although obviously thread pitch bolt diameter etc is different. I was kinda seeing if this one would be at least as strong as the Makita and was expecting it to blow away the Milwaukee and Ridgid. I'm pretty sure your right with the proper battery it should be hitting higher numbers. Kinda odd it being over 700ft break away 36Volts 2.5 battery yet struggling to remove a 500ft fastener 🤷‍♂️

one person's test isn't the gospel-we have used this for a long time and it outperforms all of our others MIlwaukee-Makita-Kobalt and newest Rigid(thhey are all good impacts(except the Kobalt died at 6 mo and not as much use as the others-always good to get at least 3 sources when judging anything, also fanboys tend to overhype their favorite colors and not report failures-we run a bunch of colors so have more balance in our experiences
@johnny4713ify
@johnny4713ify Жыл бұрын
@@WillBlock-n9j Agreed. If you read my previous comment this tool kit with 2.5 amp batteries doesn't perform well. I'm sure with bigger batteries this should be a beast. For a midtorque I was just expecting it to perform better with the lower amp batteries givin the specs advertised on the box. He reviewed the new 1/2 subcompact Ridgid and that little monster using a 6.0 battery yet way smaller hammer mechanism took off 500ft faster pretty impressive. No one else that I've seen on YT uses this test rig set up with the high end, but extremely powerful and accurate torque guns. They use these guns at Nuclear Power plants so to me this channel is as close as you can get to testing repeatable high foot pound Breakway performance from impacts.

It seems like Metabo may be working in a different market than the US. I really expected more....? From a Mid-Torque. The Ryobi did better, for $100.00 less. Then, Harbor Freight Hercules makes an impact that they have to label as a Hi-Torque, cause lays waste to nearly all Mid-Torques on the market. It's truly limited by it's size, and if that's a deciding factor, Milwaukee Rules the down-sized Mid-Torques.... for the same coins as this Metabo.

I purchased this Metabo and have been very disappointed. My buddy has the new Kobalt NG mid-torque. We did several different tests and his kobalt, made my Metabo look like a child's toy. Shop tool reviews testing method is far more accurate than ttc. I guess the ttc fan boys love all the fancy graphs they use believing that makes their method the best 😂

@@baseballdude8491 you must not realize that 600 ft lbs is a lot it will break A lot of shit lugs most bolts and nuts on cars and a high torque is basically unusable for most applications. The Milwaukee gen 4 impact driver busted 550 ft lbs and yet cobalt is top on TTC it's hot and miss.. if they were using a old faithful weildhelm then I would trust the numbers that the just spit out like it's fact the rig has to be calibrated what did they calibrate it with?
