What absolute garbage of a guide! Fastest way to level is going 21 holy rest prot with int/sta/spirit gear with FAST one hand you will solo everything can tank, heal and dps. If you are telling people to go ret atleast tell them to get fast weapon before hitting 20 and soc, sor works best with fast weapons and FFS take deflection 5/5. And it is called consecration if you say concentration someone might think you talking about aura. If anyone is leveling in fresh and there is alot of pvp going on go prot untill 5/5 retaliate and rest in ret you will actually kill people and if you learn how stacking retaliate works after the last changes you will have fun one shotting rogues all the time. I can write so much more but to anyone reading this skip this "guide" and go watch someone who actually plays paladin and pallytime on top of my mind this guy just reading meta leveling guide from 2004... and asking for subscription what a joke.

This guide is kind of different of what I am seeing in other sources, the talent distribution and also the use of Seal of Crusader and Command instead of Seal of righteous, had you tested this build agains others? is more efficient?

This build is whollistically suboptimal. There are mutliple established builds which are objectively better. Pretty much every seal/spell/aura he mentions is flat wrong. Sanctity aura isn't even worth its talent point.

restedxp is not until 30 for the classic era or fresh servers. its until 20. all your videos you say up to 30.

Aoe leveling as prot you need simply fast 1 hander your damage is consecration and auto attacks are for regenerating mana with judgement of wisdom, Knightly Longsword is very good, As ret you need to keep your weapon up to date, you need weapon with high weapon damage not necessarily slow one and procs are great also like one that Cobalt Crusher has. I am not really sure wnich method is faster.

5 points in Benediction is like 15% more manapool if you only use seal and judgements. 5 points in imp. BoM is like 4AP @rank1. Benediction > imp. BoM

This is not the most efficient way to level a paladin. You should be doing a stam, int and spirit gear set into holy/prot. Imp conc aura and imp SoR talents are nuts

@@RigoUnreal So, 11 Points in Holy down to Consc. Divine Int 5/5, Spiritual Focus 5/5 then Consc. Then in Prot: 5/5 Redoubt, 3/3 Precision, 2/2 Guardian's Favour, Then Toughness and Shield Spec get in any order but you will get max in both. At 36 I like to start taking Imp HoJ. Then Once you have all points done, get BoS OR Reckoning. Depends on wep economy imo. IF you decide to AoE Farm at Lvl 41 (when you get BoS) THEN go into Ret Tree, get 5/5 Benediction and 5/5 Deflection imo as it does more for you than reckoning does. I personally have gone with Reckoning due to the fact that post-level 34 you can essentially use whatever 2h weps you like, with SoR Rank 5-8; and I personally believe the wep economy is better with 2h from those levels. If you want to go sword and board then get Knightly longsword at lvl 33 and then ideally get a flurry axe at 42. You can also shoot for MCP from Gnomer too. But basically, fast 1h + shield OR fast 2h (MCP) with Rank 3 SoR. OR any speed 2h with SoR ranks 5-8.

Oh, and for those wondering: WHY consecration? Well basically you want to utilise your mana bar and turn mana to damage. Consecration is a way to do that and also opens up AoE farming for you too. Regardless, if you do AoE farm I would still keep a 2h for 1v1 fights. Then as Emil said use Stam Spirit Gear. 2/3 Stam Spirit then 1/3 Stam/Int (eagle) or Owl gear. Then if AoE farming switch to primarily Stam/Int gear. Note that paladins also fare much better with All Stats gear too. For more info on these topics see: Pallytime and Drakova's videos.

This time around, I'm actually leveling with Holy talents instead of Ret. I'm mostly grinding beast mobs while doing quests that I enjoy. I will also heal dungeons when I'm bored of grinding. So, I am carrying a DPS set and a healing set in my bags. I realize this isn't optimal, but it is different and engaging. I've always played Paladin as my main and have leveled way too many times the same way. This time is different.

Question because I’m planning to do the same more or less, did you rush to Consecration? And when did you start doing some AoE grinding? I figured I’d go Holy and look for dungeons and then just grind and level professions in my down time when looking for dungeon groups.

⁠​⁠@@kohtasYes rush cons you need it asap. It doesn’t come online fully until you get seal of light and wisdom but you can do it with 3/4 mobs at 21 once you drop a point into redoubt. It just gets easier the further down into prot you go

Judging seal of crusader is only worthwhile if the enemies live for a while. Otherwise, you are better off to just judge righteousness or command. At the least, you should never give up an active seal of righteousness or command just to judge crusader. That's terrible mana conservation.
