Ehrm.... As a holy priest veteran. I must warn you, flash heal is not your primary spell. Heal rank 3-4 is your primary healing spell, and should be used in 70% of all situations. You might want to talk a little bit about downranking as well. The most common is to use heal rank 3/4 and GH rank 1+4 and Flash heal rank 4+7. But again..... GH becomes really viable with the t2 setbonus. But... Up until then, spamming heal rank 3 or 4 is usually the best option. :) Spamming flash heal will simply make you go OOM in 80% of all fights. :)

Just respecced to holy and I’m about to start BRD and hopefully get into endgame raids. I use 3 different heals that are spaced apart ~500 healing. So I’m currently doing sunken temple and I’ve got a greater heal doing 1700, a downranked greater heal doing 1200 and a heal doing 700 (those are roughly the amount they heal, can’t remember off top of my head). Is this viable or should I be practicing with a larger variety of healing spells or using different increments between spells? I’m a newbie at this so I’m all ears. I haven’t got two flash heals on my action bar yet but I will downrank a flash heal tmrw like you said. Also do you use key bindings or roll with healium?

I’ve been using Heal too much apparently, I’m gonna start using flash heals for all my heals in raid now! That way I won’t get heal sniped, and I can afk wand for the remaining 80% of the fight while the other healers do the work for me!

I second what "Johannes Melander" wrote. You definitely do NOT want to use flash heal as your main spell. You'll go out of mana very quickly. Poorly made guide by someone who definitely doesnt play/hasnt played much priest. Rank 3/4 heal is your bread and butter.

Additionally, intellect is worth far more than he says it is. Intellect allows you to cast more heals. In a 3 minute fight, i typically spend about 8-11k mana (depending on consumables and out of combat regen), 7k of which comes from base mana pool. Int is highly under rated for healers.
