Metal Detecting Fun - Father and Son using the NOKTA SIMPLEX

Jacob wanted to go out metal detecting during the christmas holidays, so we loaded up the car with the gear and went to a private beach area on the lake.
We did a little tone-for-tone testing of the Simplex plus and the Simplex Ultra, but most of all we just wanted to get out and find some targets.

Wicked Digger saids the old simplex is better then the ultra

@ChrissyEis I can’t answer that completely. I don’t usually go the beach, since I’m 4 hours from the coast. But from what I am seeing, they are very close in performance. The plus runs on 12 or 13 kHz (I think) while the plus runs on 15. I’ve always thought 15 does better for relic and coin hunting, no matter what brand or model. Time will tell as I spend more time with the Ultra.
