The Scottish Detectorist is one of my favourites. Cracks me up sometimes. Nice coins and nice shiny, healthy looking snake.

Great day Steve, amazing how the coins keep coming. Defiantly time to don the snake gators especially in our wonderful Tassie. Keep em coming mate,

Thanks for watching Phil. I’m constantly amazed at how we keep finding coins at sites we think we’ve finished. I don’t think a site is every fully hunted out - it just gets a bit harder each time…

I agree with comment number one. It looks like off a webbing belt. I'm impressed with the smaller coil and slowly warming towards the Manticor. Your dirt road however looks to be in better condition than Western Highway where I live here in Western Victoria. The Western Highway being the main road between Melbourne and Adelaide. Cheers John

Thanks John! Thanks for the ID on the belt end, and that was my first hunt with the smaller coil but I was pretty impressed with it! It definitely made it easier to home in on the targets!

Steve I think the electrical plug fitting at about 11.40 is the plug from lights on a trailer that plugs into the rear of car. And it's a small world... I've been watching the Scottish Detectorist, and when his mate Simon got the equinox 800 and was trying to learn it, I sent John a link to your video tutorials and so Simon was apparently watching them in the car in the way to their Detectavil weekend. 👍

That’s amazing Tony! It sure is a small world, and so cool that people can help each other from all over the world! John’s videos are great, and I really enjoy seeing the kinds of things he finds over there!

Hi Steve. Great looking finds and a scary snake to boot! That brass piece at about 11:20 looks like an end cap to a webbing belt - army belt from back in the day. Your video is entertaining, as usual. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

Thanks for watching Glenn - I knew I recognised that piece, but just couldn’t place it at the time - thanks for the ID!

Yes, it’s a great little spot to spend a few hours, as long as you watch where you put your feet! 🤣

Really great video mate. How are you finding the M8? Waiting for mine to come in 🍻

That was my first outing with it, but I’m already impressed. It’s a similar experience to getting the 6” coil for the Equinox - made good signals a lot easier to pick out from the trash and it was much easier to swing around obstacles.
