Cool house. Did one myself once. Under the rug we're old newspapers in one room. Vents held old coins. Lots of them. Like the kids piggy bank.😊

Love the old papers. Back in the 60s we moved to a bigger house, I have 7 siblings , we tore down the old chicken coop in the back yard and found old newspapers in the walls that they used as insulation. On the front page of one was the Headline President McKinley assassinated 1901

That white porcelain thing is called a tube from the knob and tube wiring method. They are used for running a single conductor through the wood on straight runs and the knob is for directional changes.

Great job, but I was at old house place where I found 1877 dime and some other old things from 1800’s. But I did find something that I had seen before but not sure what it was, you show it at “11:35” in video and say it sounds like porcelain . Does anyone know what it is ? Thanks for video.

@@robinkhan7468 I was sharpening my knife and I dropped it, it broke in million pieces 🤦🏻‍♂️ I just wonder what it is ?

It’s a ceramic tube insulator that electrical wire runs through to keep the wires from touching the wood. I have used them to remove the fine burrs from knifes after sharpening.
