@@flowrepins6663 well actually in Metal Gear Solid 2 oit is considered that due to his dad's abilities is a psychic medium he was better able to turn into liquid until he got rid of that arm for a cybernetic and is the boss really legendary hero scene is nobody really remembers her other than the boss and zero it really gets mentioned by anyone but really think about in Metal Gear 1 2 solid 1 Solid 2 nobody'd ever heard of her until possibly Metal Gear Solid 4

I CANT NOT BELIEVE THIS WENT PASSED ME! As many times ive played this, this never came up. I had heard about this from Jeremy Jahans but I could not believe it. Looking at Metal Gear Fan forms and Pedia said The Boss and The Sorrow were Ocelot parents but never seem to be mention in the game when i play. After seeing this it all make sense now and not only that it was foreshadowed of him being a spy. That Kojima never sees to amazed me.

@@demonking86420 I still think that the sorrow being Ocelots father is the reason why Liquid took over but then Ocelot removed that arm after MGS2 and replace it with a prosthetic THEN chose to masquerade as "Liquid" Ocelot to trick the Patriots through Hypnotherapy. It would make sense being that Liquid voice actor was in MGS2 but not MGS4 and also explains why Metal Gear Ray poses the same like when Ocelot is the pilot in comparison to when Liquid is piloting RAY.

So when did Ocelot get the name Shalashaska?

In Afghanistan in the 70s-80s, Shala comes from Sharsha wich means prison in i don't remember which language (afghan or russian i can't remember) and shaska which means sword, so Shalashaska means something like Prison Sword, you learn that in a cassette tape in MGS 5 TPP.

It's from russian words shashka (sabre) and sharashka (special prison for scientists)

M. Olender Sharashaska would be written in Japanese using Katakana, and with Katakana Ls are written as Rs, so what probably happened was when translating it, the localisation team made a mistake and it stuck as the series continued. That’s just a guess on my part though.

Being birthed by a legendary female hero of a soldier leaves only one candidate with that prowess, but they did leave out a relevant detail, her being American. Ocelot’s given codename also being American, gives a high chance they are related, albeit not purely American, he’s half Russian by his father’s side, giving him more leverage to play the other side. Amusingly to note, changing his Russian made pistol to an American revolver also gave him away where his loyalty lies. Kojima went far ahead in making these subtle details to foreshadow his characters.

I'm guessing these codec calls are non canon, since he saw the Boss's scar, then he got jumped by Ocelot again and didn't question. "Hey did you know your mom was the Boss the whole time?"
