@@Optinooby just a couple things I did differently like getting all collectibles in a separate playthrough, yeah pretty much that order for difficulty butvswap mgs1 with mgs3, those oldschool controls were a bugger lol. Yeah I was gonna play through them again and just enjoy the story but I've definitely got metal gear fatigue.

Great job on the playthrough! You made the Torture Scene escape so simple! The only part I struggled with was The Pain fight. For The Fury, you could save a bit of time by at the start by running in the direction you go but you want to find him first and get three shots off. Then go to your hiding spot. For The Boss fight, an alternative would be to go Snow Camo and snipe her from a distance with the Nagant. Now I'm unsure if you have enough time to get her camo so you might have to finish the fight with your CQC strat. I think this strat is a bit safer for us slow-response people that struggled with the CQC part. How many safety Saves do you think you had to make in regards to Food/Frogs? I counted 4 during the chase scene so anyone planning on just doing FOXHOUND run could use those saves in different spots.

The trophy achievements for this game are not hard to get. However trying to do it in one go is got to be a tedious headache. The hardest part is getting all the keratins and for some damn reason, the developers wanted to troll us by putting them in the worst section in the middle of the chase at the end. Just so you have to replay a certain section to make sure you got the damn thing.

Hey Opti, you said in the beginning that you only saved 23 times, but at the end it says 25. Did I miss an explanation somewhere? I made an extra save by the electric fence/cardboard box area where you suggested it might be helpful. Now I’m wondering if I need to skip a save to hit 25 exactly and not go over.

You missed the Splitter camo on the ledge in Bolshaya Past South...how did you unlock the trophy?! Also just remove your supressors during boss fights.

I didnt miss it, it just spawns in a few spots, we get it in a different spot. We unlock the trophy by getting all the camos still, quite a few can spawn in various spots. Ive just always got that camo on pretty much, either way you have to switch something around, unequipping silencers is another option i guess ;)

If you're following something else alongside me, I would just advise following the other guide and ignoring this one. A lot of times I do things differently to other guides due to optimisation or the other guide not knowing stuff. So if you come into mine with information from other guides, you may find a lot of conflicting info with what you think you read elsewhere. You may be telling me again later that I missed something else for example. I always advise to just follow mine and forget what you've read elsewhere, I mean you already think I missed a camo and you believed the other guide over mine!!! ;) Its no problem mate and understandable, whatever's best for you really ;)

This is where we get it btw, taken from my text guide: - KRASNOGORJE MOUNTAINTOP RUINS - 1 - Equip the Spider uniform again. 2 - Camouflage - Uniform - Splitter - Head south down the trench and climb out as soon as possible to evade the guard to the west. Then keep going southeast and you will eventually slide down a brief hill and land beside this. 3 - 40/64 Kerotan - From the uniform, this is on the ledge slightly to the south. Equip the Animals uniform to shoot this and then switch back. 4 - Now head back up the hill slightly and enter the first red door you reach.

It will make the pain a little easier as the hornets wont attack you. Just dont use the stealth, infinity wig or EZ Gun as they void Foxhound

If I load up a save from when I beat the game does the timer reset? can I use all my camos on my new playthrough and do I still have 5 hours to beat the game to get fox rank even tho the saves at 3 hours and a half? 5 hours yea and you cant use the stealth camo, infinity face paint or ez gun for Foxhound, everything else can be used though

Hi, following your guide I think I ran into a pretty bad bug... In fact, when I saved at the beginning of the end's boss fight, I went back to the main menu to go afk for about 30/40 minutes, and when I reloaded the save I found the end dead. Wasn't it supposed to be at least a week? Is there a way to bring it back to life or do I have to do the run again?

Its spose to be about 8 days yea. Yea check the time of the save and change your system clock back to that time and date manually. Let me know how you get on, but that should work

But at the same time, I didn't think something like this could ever happen to me... As soon as the boss fight started I saved, went back to the main menu and for about 40 minutes I was completely afk, and reloading it died...

@darknesskyle0450 I dunno why that happened mate, i even was messing about with the date on that fight to see if you can get the camo that way but you cant. Maybe its because you just went AFK during the battle for an hour and that can have the same effect, or a glitch, dunno. You need to make regular saves on this mate unless you have done lots of practice

It just makes it very easy to alert others, there is a outfit you where that makes it so suppressors dont wear down

@@Optinooby according to google, there are 6 new trophies and one of them is earning foxhound rank. Perhaps there are more differences in gameplay, which i cant confirm, because i've never played any MGS.

Well gameplay is all the same as far as i know so if trophies are similar, should all work

"Your Russian is impeccible" The cardboard box has two helpful uses that I don't think you mentioned. 1, the scientists will react to you as a scientist but won't alert or kick over the cardboard box while you're in it. 2, if The Fury sets you on fire then quick equipping then unequipping the box will put out the flames. Also in case anyone is wondering, Calorie Mate is available to buy in most convinience stores in Japan. It looks and tastes quite a lot like a shortbread biscuit, but you can get different flavours such as chocolate and maple syrup. They only cost about £1. When I did this on the ps3 I missed the kerotan in The Pain boss room and when the trophy didn't pop I assumed I missed one on the bike section so I did the whole thing again and again and again.... did not enjoy!!!!

I cant recall which it is, spotted will fail the trophy, but evasion is ok, when they hear something, but not sure what it is, thats ok. Its just if you're properly seen, then its fail

Do you mean with how the system clock effects food going bad and a few other things? Yea this all still happens even if game is off, its why i mention the only way to avoid it is to check what the time is on your game save before opening the game, and then change the clock to that time before loading the game up

@@polibonzzgaming2001 if you stop the game without saving, then you will have to restart, so why not save? Playthrough timer only counts while in that playthrough. Just a few things are effected when the game is off.

I get so frustrated with how shit the controls are in every one of these games are. Aiming is a nightmare and the camera is always working against me.
