Both the Hayter interview and the gameshow show how the media monetizes atrocities, the octopus show constantly has a crappy headline showing something bad even when admiring nature, the woman in the cooking show acts like a common shill by directing attention away from his dirty work to play it up and spin it as desirable (quite badly I might add), the exercise show promotes exercise drugs as healthy, even having a woman comment how insecure he is and how it's all her cure while essentially jingling keys in your face with ridiculous graphical choices, and the commercials promoting the PMCs, these massive military mercenary organizations who kill people endlessly are framed like perfume commercials, movie trailers, car commercials and so on. Knowing what you know about today's media, it should ring a bell with how they operate and how bad they actually are in real life.

2024 - 10 years after the games canon events take place. It still seems so futuristic. I always felt MGS handled futuristic settings happening in more modern dates pretty accurately. It's like we are looking through an alternate reality due to La Li Lu Le Lo and the Will of the Boss and subsequently Big Bosses icon. Now because of the War Economy technology has advanced so far. Now we have one man in control of all of the worlds weapons. After he used this weapon, why did everyone stop fighting when they could have resorted to CQC or fighting with blades and other weaponry not affected by GOP? Those who did have grandfathered guns were probably put down quickly and those whose weapons worked immediately ruled along with Him. They are now looking at their new God. Their entire Government controlled by AGI. It's almost Utopia compared to other dystopian literature.

I really wanna make a video about it, but the cook in the cooking segment is definitely Kojima and the hostess is Konami right? She's trying to sell to the audience/players a game she doesn't really even believe in or understand, while the cook is sweating away trying to piece together what he can with the scraps he is given. The hostess is constantly trying to appeal to the audience, even when the chef begins to comment about the outrage that he "hadn't made it sooner". You can even briefly see Kojima in the background at one point around 8:16, specifically when the chef is giving a speech about being loyal to the "people he's cooking for" AKA the longtime fans of the series. The final moments I feel are both a message to the audience and the Konami Higher-Ups themselves. He is drawing a line in the sand. No matter how popular the character is, and how much people wanted to see him again after MGS2 controversy, this is the last chapter in Solid's life.
