Hi Ola and Louise. I was semi pro musician all my life but had to quit everything some years ago because of my degenerative health. I made rock, punk, and newwave all my life, but always been a metalhead inside. I love your metal mornings cause i can easely thanks to you dig into all these subgenres, which for the most of them i never heard of ever… but most of all, Ola, you gave me the strengh and the motivation to buy me a new guitar (i sold all my gear as soon as i saw i couldn’t make recordings or live anymore….) and to try to play, for myself, just for the pleasure. Your pantera vids are incredible, and i think this is what made me have all this idea from. Sorry for my bad english, i’m French. Keep on the good work, i love you both and thanks for all what you bring to me.

I guess the inspiring thing is that Ola always looks like he's having fun. It's about the guitars, gear and music in a very relaxed un-nerdy way. Not about rehearsing 5 hours a day to be technical perfect or having expensive gear. 👍

i don't think djent is a genre it's more of a guitar style like shred you can find djent on prog rock, prog metal, metalcore, and deathcore just like how you can find shred on hard rock, heavy metal, and thrash metal
@muaddib6673 жыл бұрын
You can also find blues, jazz and classical in those genres, they're still genres in their own right.
@elugaro13 жыл бұрын
I agree. Is more of a guitar technique.
@ThorsShadow3 жыл бұрын
@@muaddib667 This exactly. "You can find Djent in genre x, y and z" is such a stupid argument to say Djent is not a genre. You can find influences of various GENRES in various other genres. Blackened Death Metal is a mix of the genres of Black Metal and Death Metal. You wouldn't say, that either of these is not a genre. While we're at it, Djent is NOT a technique. The technique used here is called palm-muting. Guess what, you have that in a ton of other genres. Are these not genres? Djent is a genre. Period.

I don't know that much about Djent, so thx for this quick introduction. Now I ask myself, was the swedish band Mnemic also an influence for Djent? When they came out early 2000s, they also had a really complex, rhythmical sound and songwriting. Even more than Mudvayne on their first record. Both bands propably don't belong to the Djent-Scene, but they also kind of brought back complexity in "modern" metal (at least back than). And a band wayyyy before their time, also from Sweden, were Psycore. Very unorthodox Songwriting. First time hearing "I go solo" back in late 90s on Music TV, blew my mind. Greetings from Germany
