I got the Vision FG Damascus, and my wife loved it so much she got one. Then we bought one for my daughter and I dyed the scales different colors for each. I also bought the murdered out version for a friend’s birthday. Absolutely an awesome knife. By far my favorite knife under $100. I only have a few knives I’d rank higher, and the were at least 2-3 times more expensive.

You didn't mention the unique thumb studs on the Blur, they work very well but will surprise you if it's your first time handling one.

I know there may be nothing fancy about a Buck 110 but they are one sturdy knife and are made in the USA also I believe most of them come in under $100.

Great list as always. I would say for another smaller knife it's very hard to beat the BHQ sale this month on MKM Isonzo. They have good m390 heat treated well and have micarta or c.f. options with 3 blade shapes and run 59 to 79 bucks right now. Unreal sale. Usually go for 150

I de-assisted my Kershaw Blur and like it much better this way. Not all Kershaw assisted knives can be de-assisted but this one lends itself to the modification. Good overall review.

Bought a civivi vision FG after MC’s initial video on it. Damned if it isn’t everything that was promised-I love my blacked out Vision FG, from lock to lockup, from looks to ergos this thing slaps. ❤ my second knife but the one that cemented the hobby in my heart. @@dabeaniebeaner my cons are mostly nitpicks, I'm used to right hand tip down carry and the vision is tip up only. The lock is cool and seems strong, but requires different muscle memory than the liner and frame locks I'm used to. I chose it as my first left handed knife, so neither of these is a big deal to me. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't get the black coated blade, not really a con, just preference. Is it a good first knife? If you are left handed, definitely. If you are right hand, I'd say probably but you might want something with a more typical lock type.

I love the Kershaw Blur so much for so many reasons, but my state bans switchblades and there's case law that classifies assisted openers as switchblades. I also can't get past the freaking recurve. Like... how long have they been making the Blur, and they can't just give it a regular drop or clip point blade? I suck so bad at sharpening tantos for some reason, and I have no interest in sharpening a recurve. I'd rather just spend the extra and get a Code 4 around $75-90ish. I'm also kinda surprised the Begleiter didn't make this list, coming in at like $90, currently only $75 on Amazon, for the XL model with 154CM. It took a couple months for some lock stick to smooth out on mine, but now there is absolutely zero lock stick and it feels so insanely smooth. I normally don't do bearings, but this one feels like Benchmade washers. It's so smooth I actually had to crank down the pivot to slow down the action lol. If anyone wants 4" of 154CM, the Begleiter XL is a banger and for $75 is absolutely mind boggling.

Nowadays with all the awesome crossbar lock and button lock knives coming out I am not sure why you would buy a liner lock knife, not only your finger is always in the path of the blade which is quite inconvenient, but also it is quite less fidgety compared to the crossbar and button locks. I would prefer one of these two mechanisms for my EDC knife all day every day forever rather than liner lock, which is also among the weakest locking mechanisms too. :)

It just feels so light and cheap, and the button lock action so sticky and generally meh. I definitely like my Pyrite better than that knife.
