I'm about fight for you and metal, guys. Always For years I had this idea, while listening to you. Instead of power metal drums you may try to experiment with absolutely different types of percussion. IMHO It sounds much better than drum set, + people get use to it. Btw do you notice, In trap music hihat not fixed in tone. You have to experiment to made something outstanding and new. Each drum is a tone, so it can be another Melody line. I think this drum sound doesn't really fit with beautiful melodies and composition. (Not to upset drummer). Btw source of drum idear is darbuka, original African jembe, deep fank, experimental jazz. Rammstein payed with tom sound, Slipknot uses huge percussion sound. It can be something new. I wish you always be alive. One of my favorite bands.
