и т.д. //// пересказано с автопереводчика.

I love this performance... it's a crying shame this man is not as well known as he should be... ok I get the language barrier, well actuslly I don't.... it's so ridiculous to me ( I'm Irish so am attuned to western music) that this man is seems is obscure in the West... it's a crime we have pop STARS thst can barely sing and are auto tuned get more than Dimash... don't get me wrong I like a good hook in a song but this man here is true above and beyond talent... n he's worked n trained for it.... I only hope he becomes more widely known becsuse he deserves it and also full of integrity and yours missing some thing so beautiful... I try to share him as much as I can... a once in a generation talent...

If you love his low-mid range, try Qaragym-ai (Apple of My Eyes) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fprPp4iFhLWFrKc . This was very recent, a few months ago. It was sung as a dedication to the composer who was also Dimash's professor, who recently passed away from Covid. Check out the backstory of the song here: dimash.fandom.com/wiki/My_Dear . I can't find a decent written lyrics though, but there is one embedded to a video of Dimash performing the song when he was younger, during the 70th birthday of the same composer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYfJgqhneMloeaM

Interesting fact I just found out listening to his very recent interview on Kazakh tv is that he said this song is very special to him and he needs to prepare himself mentally to sing it, not because it's hard technically but because of the whole history behind it and what it means for his country. This was filmed in his home studio in Astana as he couldn't go to Japan because of the pandemic. There is also a very good performance of SOS filmed at the same time in this studio.

Dimash doesn’t need any stage settings, light shows, dancers just his voice and a little instrumentation are enough to create atmosphere and to pull you into the song, the story of the song. You can find many of his songs with pretty good subtitles in several languages on the channel of Dimash Fanclub Deutschland here on KZbin and you can get a lot of informations about Dimash, his songs with backgrounds, the people around him and his culture in the group „Dimash multicultural club“ on Facebook. Samal Tau is a historical song. 1916... World War I...The Russian Tsar issues a decree on the draft of Kazakhs aged 19-39 years in the army. Samal Tau is the song of these recruits. The place where they came from was called "Samal Tau" in the North Kazakhstan region. The name of the author is not preserved in the memory of the people. The song contains the words: “We wander tired, very tired for 15 days, almost reached Omsk. Samal Tau, where I was born and raised, was left behind. Elderly parents stayed at home. How are they supposed to live without me? ". The song also has information about the age of the author. He is a little over two mushels old. He was born in the year of the cow, which means in 1888, so he is 28 years old. (Credits to Dimash multicultural club)

👉The Kobys is an old Turkish stringed instrument, has two horsehair strings, the wooden resonance body is covered with goatskin and is played with a bow. According to legend, an angel appeared to Korkyt Ata (8th-9th century, is considered the founder of Kui) and gave him the task of building an instrument that resembles the human voice: the Kyl Kobyz. Traditionally, kobyzen were sacred instruments owned by shamans and bakses (traditional spiritual medicine practitioners). The instrument is mainly played by men, women with kobys are considered shamans. Legend has it that the Kobyz and its music could banish evil spirits, disease and death. According to a Kazakh legend, nobody dared to bring the terrible news of the death of his son Djuchi to world ruler Chingishan. According to a custom, any person who brought him bad news was killed by Chingishan. Desperate, people turned to the famous singer Akyn. Then he came to the chan with his traditional kobys and played the strings of the instrument so piercingly and sadly that the tough warrior was moved to tears and learned of the death of his heir. (www) 🌼🇩🇪 👉The Sybyzgy is a flute made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-5 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds, although difficult to play, and was also used by storytellers. These storytellers, called Akyn in Kyrgyzstan, are a central element of Central Asian culture. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music, for example with a Sybyzgy. (www)🌼🇩🇪

Samaltau is beautifully simple yet complex. The Kobyz is the stringed instrument (I’d love - as a cellist - to try this beautiful instrument.) that lends itself to the sounds of wilderness from the Samal mountains. The back story to this piece is steeped in Kazakh history and of a young man being torn from his homeland to fight for the Russian army during WWI. The music truly reflects the lyrics and I’m sure you’ll appreciate the meaning. Love the reactions! :). There is a beautiful video of a live performance on stage of this one too.

👉Because of the pandemic, the annual Tokyo Jazz Festival took place online. Dimash sings 2 songs, “SOS” and “Samaltau”, live in his home studio. His first performance 2019 at the closing ceremony of the Silk Road International Film Festival: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3_OoHmZYseEldU (you should watch it) For Dimash this song 'Samaltau' has a special spiritual meaning. He prepared for the performance with a special responsibility. This song, very well known in Kazakhstan, is sung about the hard mass of people, about their suffering. It was written when the Tsar forcibly recruited the young men from Kazakhstan during World War I. They marched endless distances. Many did not understand what to do in a foreign country. Their fields withered and their wives, children and elderly parents were left alone. The Tsar, then the Soviets, attacked the country and harassed, recruited and decimated the population. In 1934, after a great famine, 2 million Kazakhs had survived. Today 18 million people live in the Republic of Kazakhstan, 70% of them Kazakhs, 19% Russians and other ethnic groups. Fan Club USA has a background story video: www.youtube.com/watch?V=GVcs7wkfyC4 Tragedy of the Kazakh people: "Samal tau 1916" - HasSak folk band (True Saka) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6zmIWJbrSFbKs 🌼🇩🇪 👉 Samaltau (names a beautiful place. In Kazakhstan, many women's names have 'samal' as the first syllable) Mountain breeze Mountain breeze, my amazing country, my endless lake, What days await me as a soldier, You keep coming into my mind from time to time, My amazing homeland, where I was born and raised I wasn't riding, I was walking, Even slower than walking, Been strolling for 15 days In the direction of Omsk I'm at the age of two cycles, the year of the cow By the will of Fate, I went farther away Mountain breeze, my amazing country, you're left behind From the hollow field, we are the only ones I had parents, Of progressed age, Since this song was written, It's been 16 years. Mountain breeze, my amazing country, my endless lake, What days await me as a soldier 🌼🇩🇪

That was performed from his own home studio. That violin is a tradicional Kasak instrument called kobiz ... and the flute is a traditional one from Kasakistan and if you noticed is played with half the mouth of the musician, leaving the space to let go his breathing sounds at same time... Here you hear water, wind, wolves yowling, birds and rain drops over the stones of the mountains echoing... This is a story about a man who is leaving because he was called to war by the Tzar and he may not return alive to see his beloved land again, now invaded by war...

At the beginning of the song, the sounds of the Great Steppe of Kazakhstan at night were masterfully imitated on the Kazakh ancient folk instrument KOBYZ. We hear howl wolves, barking dogs, the cries of cranes, the noise of water in the river... /// The song "Samal Tau" is considered folk. Its plot is connected with the events of 1916. That year, many men were mobilized for World War I, which was in Europe. /// The guy walks along the steppe road at night and sings a song about having left his native home and old parents, native mountains "Samal Tau". The guy doesn't know what lies ahead in the war. He doesn't know if he'll return from the war to his home. /// Dimash sings this song in Kazakh. The song premiered on October 20, 2019 in China at the closing of the 6th Silk Road International Film Festival kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3_OoHmZYseEldU

The thing that is different about the kobyz (the stringed instrument) is that if you notice, the musician does not press the strings all of the way down to the fret board or neck of the instrument. He slides his fingers up and down on the strings to give you that haunting variation in pitch and tone.

Kobyz used steppe bucks (shaman-healers) for rituals: Inside the kobyz, on the back wall, they attached a mirror, and the head was decorated with a bunch of owl feathers. In the darkness of the yurt, the mirror gleamed from the tagan with a reddish color, the kobyz sang its ancient, howling song, the bucks shouted their spells in a heart-rending voice: “Nak! Nak! ”, And the feathers of an owl from his cry began to move and tremble.

The Kobyz is an ancient string instrument and was considered sacred played by shamans believed to able to banish illness and even death. The song was written by an unknow young soldier taken to fight in WWI when Kazakhstan was part of the Russian empire - the natural horsemen forsed to walk to the battlefield, leaving their families, their homeland behind.
@armanhalykov5015 Жыл бұрын
Kobyz is one of the oldest Kazakh folk instruments. It is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument. Kobyz is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind, and it is explained by the fact that, according to the ancient beliefs of many peoples, the living singing soul of the tree, which will sound in the instrument, will be preserved only in a single piece. An open body, just like kobyz strings from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horsehair, gives a very thick timbre rich in overtones. Two strings on an old kobyz were made from horse hair or camel sinews. Hence the name of the instruments: kylkobyz (kyl - horse hair), narcobyz (nar - one-humped camel). Later there were instruments with metal strings - zhezkobyz.

This was performed on his 26th Biirthday on May 24th 2020 in his home studio in Almaty Kazakhstan for the Tokyo Jazz Festival that had to be online due to the pandemic. Dimash is a native Kazach, who were and in some cases still are a nomadic people, and the instruments have a long history, the Kobyz is a 5,000 year old instrument with two strings made of horsehair, played with a bow also of horsehair, it has no fretboard . The noises made represent the sounds Wolves, Cranes and other wildlife of the Kazakh Steppe, vast, beautiful plains where the population lived and herded horses which they rode, milked and ate. Here is a very good article if you are interested in the Korbyz/ Qorbyz abaicenter.com/nomadic-culture-through-sound-qyl-qobyz The other instrument is a Kazakh side blown flute called a Sybyzgy makes the sound of birds together with the rainstick, a bamboo pipe filled with tiny pebbles to make the sound of the wind blowing the grasses of the Steppe. The instruments on the wall are various styles of Dombra plus a Jetigen, a 7 stringed Zither all gifts from his Dears. Hope this is of interest to you, and also this, it's what the song is about dimash.fandom.com/wiki/Samaltau_(Самалтау)💙🇰🇿"

Man, imma just keep bothering you because I'm am ass to react to Ed Sheeran - You Need Me I Dont Need You. The live room version. I promise you will be amazed, and it wont be what you're expecting! I'll make sure to just comment once per video instead of spamming you, there are just zero high quality reactions to it and you got a high quality channel.

Nice reaction. But you pause a lot! almost unnecessarily.

KZbin has been fully blocking lots of my videos. Pausing helps prevent this.
