Fishies would be a great record to vibe out to with your dad, it’s their bluegrass/boogie rock record that has a few surprises hidden in the back half. It’s easily the most pop-y record that you would’ve checked out so far but that makes a lot of the tracks there insanely catchy and memorable. Title track has to be one of the best dance songs they’ve ever mad.

I would listen to Fishing for Fishies next. It makes for a very good companion to this album, while checking out a different style from theirs. They released Fishies and Rat's Nest in the same year, covering the same topic of climate change in two opposite styles. I once saw a comment saying that Fishies is like a hippie in a park singing about how we should be good to nature, and Rat's nest is when he goes on a rampage killing all the oils execs.

This song is absolutely killer. One of my favorite songs on the record, which I absolutely love. I think this record is a lot catcher on a first listen than most of the tracks on Petro, most of the songs are easier to latch onto. This track reveals that afyer the Venusian 2 crew self immolated, they ended up in Hell (and also don't feel sick anymore), where Satan gives them a job to "Infest The Rats Nest", which basically means "kill all the rich people that moved to Mars." It also reveals that the rat skull on the cover is the door to Hell. For the next album, my vote goes to Fishing For Fishies, though you probably won't like the first track at all, but I know that just because a song is happier doesn't automatically mean you hate it. However, _IF_ I'm In Your Mind Fuzz wins, keep in mind the first 4 tracks are a medley. Someone with the handle "afnckingleaf" uploaded the studio versions with seamless transitions and (from my experience) no ads, though the 3rd track in the suite also has a music video. There's also a really good KEXP version.

This songs place in the album’s story is so dark yet so funny. In self immolate the crew burns up on the surface of Venus, and then in Hell literally all Hell breaks loose because they meet Satan and he sends them all the way back to Mars to haunt the elites that left them to die on earth. Helps that the song fucking rips

i think you should check out Changes next! I've been into gizz since Rat's Nest had just come out, and also think Petro is probably their Magnum Opus (i had gotten a tattoo of the ratty idol like right before the gila and dragon singles dropped, and you know i have a fuckin dragon flamethrowing the earth tatted now haha) but other than Petro, Changes is always the album for me that almost ties with it in concepts and sound and lyrics. VERY different style, not metal, but its so fuckin amazing, so Changes is my vote

this song is very fun to play especially when it gets heavy in the outro after that long feedback settlage. it requires fast reaction and response but once you get it down its a fun little experience especially when you are adding a layer with your own guitar above what the members doing there. for the next album its fishies fo sure man, also both infest the rats nest and fishing for fishies have behind the scenes videos of them recording in the studio and some other bloopers, the self immolate clips from it really shows how they got around making the whole record, just cavs stu and joey

Man poor MOTU he always forgets it lol I recommend you a lot Laminated Denim, that's one of their best records for being just 2 songs and as a jam record I personally think is more solid that Ice Death (and oh boy Hypertension is awesome), but just in case you don't choose it If you choose Paper Maché Dream Balloon, you really should do a live vs studio of Sense, the first track. There's an awesome Red Rocks version from the channel bobdylanlover69 And if you do Mind Fuzz, the first 4 songs are a full suite (like what happened in MOTU and Polygondwanaland), it's better to reacting to those out together

First of all, one had to admit when made a mistake, and my honest appologies for that comment. I'm a not English speaker, I write English from memory, and in a world where no one can put the feelings and the intentions on the text we make. I want to explaing why I suddenly jumped with this: To me, hearing a song for the first time, should be listed star to finish, to got the first experience, discover the pauses, the changes, with the full experience, the sensations within every part of the song... Like a theater play, you can't stop the actors for a moment and then return, and then, and then... You where there to watch the full experience, cry, laugh, be amazed. In the music, it's like the same, once you hear Motor Spirit for example, it's a opus, it's like an emulation of an actual vehicle motor. Iron Lung, it's a song who evolves and the song land again in the tranquility. You know? Discover a song for the first time and then cutting those experience, it's like (sorry for the example I'm going to use) make love to your partner and then pause when your about to 💦 ( I know there's a practice calling ed***g, but you get the point) I don't wanted to sound rude or move something wrong on your feelings or thoughs. Love to hear you talking, sharing what you think, how you analyze, and for all the things how you smile with the songs, how you joy on everyone of they, and in a bad day, and a bad moment exploded and then commerce the other video, because I thought if you where listened Self Immolate once, and the you doing live, your where going to hear full at least 1 pause in middle... But you stoped in the intro, in the solo... Cutting a solo... 💔💔💔💔 But I didn't know it was a recommendation... Once you have copyright problems you could lose your channel... So if all of the people who dare to upload something with copyright, it's playing a rulete. They can be banned, and lose all the work... So, if you are brabe enough to upload something with copyright, why not have the full experience of hearing a song for the first time, with all the feeling put in the song. Any song. I love to crank up the volume during the feedback before the 'outro' part on the vinyl version, (Hell's where we wanna be!') but yeah, this kicks serious ass. Also, I don't feel a jig, like you did, but get more like a Turkish or middle eastern vibe... I'd suggest you stay heavy, and do Mind Fuzz next, it's critical Gizz.
