We all missed Cliff so very much on this day but we enjoyed Jason and welcomed him so loud that he and the band received enough good vibes for the next thousand years ! Long Live Metallica. How did people not know this by now: Lars follows Jaymz on most songs from the first 4. They've said it themselves. I read it in several interviews back in the day. They're one of the few bands that do that. The Who being the most notable other one. They did day that both: In the early days, that all played as fast as they could keep it together. They were going for a new sound with a different energy. And yes, one they'd get going, Larz would often speed up, and they'd have to follow. Youth, nerves, macho, ambition, and coke.
