I've always said that when Kirk puts in his all, he's a remarkable guitarist and can do what very few ever could... And as for the quality of this cover, I think that they always put all their best efforts to keep the original feel of the song, but you know that it's truly Metallica by the way they sound! They are in my opinion, one of if not the best artists to cover someone else's song!!! The Metallica sound is imbedded into those covers, but they always bring out something from these songs, something that wasn't there prior to their rendition and I think that even if they make it sound "like Metallica", that they make it into something great!

I finally got around to watching the whole show on Paramount+. I can't thank Metallica enough for being the band they are and have been since the day Lars put an add in the Recycler 40+ years ago "looking for other metal musicians to jam with". The value of this performance to Metallica fans goes without saying. James vocals on "Borderline" are just insane and Kirks acoustic playing is so tight and awesome, he pretty much stole the show.
