The only issue was the delay on James' vocals, but everything else sounded pretty good to me, and he even got that down by the middle of the song I think.

The intimate setting definitely makes a difference--huge bands like Metallica aren't used to playing in a small space. They can probably hear themselves clearly for once

I agree with all the comments here about James phenom vocals. The man has worked through personal issues and embraced sobriety. The band as a whole seemed to have found their groove. I would absolutely love seeing them in an intimate setting like this performance- where you can appreciate all the nuances of their playing as a band and as individual. I get it though-Metallica is still a band that can fill stadiums-and those perforce a have their own place. The guys love to play and love their fans.
