Bass guitar is fairly new still. Years ago it was just a support instrument until people got better especially the few who had passion in music. Cliff definitely set a new standard proving its not just a support instrument. There are many people who are just as good even better than Cliff. However, nobody can take his crown for style. It is 1 of a kind.

On the Kill Em All record Cliff used a Morley Power Wah Fuzz (later switched to a Power Wah Boost) with a big muff pi, ibanez tube screamer ts9, and a boss bass compressor, if you want the ultimate tone this works on basically every bass to get his kill em all and kinda his Ride The Lightning tone
