Thrawn is a special character for me, because it was through his books that me and my grandma could bond over star wars. My grandma is very important to me, almost like another mother. I remember when I used to read to her, and how we would enjoy listening to the audio books together. She doesn't live in the same state anymore, but I will be visiting her in November, so I'm going to take Thrawn audiobooks so that we can share more memories. Thank you Zahn, for creating such an iconic character! You brought people together!

The greatest character in all of Star Wars Legends. So great and beloved by fans was he that they brought him back in canon and did it correctly. The Chiss are the greatest species in Star Wars, and Thrawn is their best poster character to showcase just how legendary they all are.

I’ve been waiting for this since you made this chiss video, my favorite star wars race, and my favorite character. Im even listening to the Ascendancy trilogy and original thrawn trilogy again. The craziest part is im at the same part of the third book, where you ended the video. As one trained in the Force, you know true coincidences are rare.

Great video. When I started the Thrawn Ascendancy novel’s I wasn’t sure because it was set so far outside the main Star Wars galaxy, but it’s some of the best Star Wars books I’ve ever listened to. The voice acting in the audiobooks make for excellent stuff to listen to when driving to work. The depth of Thrawn’s character is always top tier. Timothy Zahn to this day still understands the character like no one else

In the Ahsoka trailer Thrawn hasn't aged much in the next ten years of Rebels and he is 68 for Ahsoka's series. Perhaps the Chiss of canon continuity has a longer lifespan than a human.

I'm currently in a Star Wars RPG campaign where Thrass is in our party! We work for a crime lord on a recently Empire-occupied mid-rim system (called Caturn, lol) and occasionally work with a rebel cell and smugglers. My character, a highly skilled Twi'lek pilot and hacker and Thrass can't stand each other for obvious reasons but respect each other's abilities. His intelligence and charisma and my pilot skills combined have saved our asses numerous times!

Slight mis-citation at the start. The conversation from Thrawn’s perspective was made in Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising. That’s why it mentions Chiri the Sky-walker. In Thrawn: Alliances it also shows this interaction but from Anakin’s perspective with him simply mentioning his pilot and not showing the conversation between Thrawn and his sky-walker
