How we dont have a Thrawn show yet is beyond me... the story of his life is amazing. Its such a great story that even includes the force and yet not jedi nor sith... the politics and drama would totally make for a great show.

Hey, so most of this is AI art but you had said that theres only a few cover arts. Is the Thrawn picture with him in an trinket adorned cloak original SW art? Its one of the few images that doesnt match the others. If yes it is the original Thrawn art... i have one thing to say... If they dont cast Jensen Ackles as Thrawn then they arent doing it right. Holy crap that Thrawn looks so much like Jensen.

Yeah it would be hard to explain but the main image I keep using of thrawn is a Canon cover art one, with the chains, and yeah I see what u mean but also it just looks different from rebels lol. It is surprising how much changes even in canon

To be honest, Thrawn seems like a better match for the Republic - and later the Rebellion - than the Empire. His kind and caring nature, both towards his own family, fellow Chiss, and even outsiders in some cases, his competency as a teacher and military commander, and his genius tactics all point to him having the potential to be a superb officer in the Rebellion. An equal to some of their greatest, like Admiral Akbar, Luke Skywalker and Hera Syndulla even. I would thoroughly enjoy a Star Wars Infinities-style series exploring an alternate timeline where Thrawn joined the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic instead of the Empire.

@@Hello-bi1pm I didn't miss that at all. He seems very much like a true man of culture, and not the meme kind. Surely he can appreciate that, even if he does see others as assets. I definitely agree that there was a militarist streak, but that doesn't exclude one from being a good person. Just look at drill sergeants IRL - behind that R. Lee Ermey persona they all have, is a truly caring personality that they don't hesitate to show if their recruits have something REALLY bad happen to them. And in-universe, the drill sergeants that trained Domino Squad. I forget his name but there was one that was especially mean, even deliberately not issuing them ascension cables in the final test, forcing them to get creative. In the end, he did Domino Squad a favor. Despite the fact that they didn't have the tools they needed, they completed their training anyway as he forced them to improvise. Deep down, Thrawn cares. Even about non-Chiss. He would deny that, of course, to anyone's face but deep down he knows the truth. They may be assets to him, but they are not droids, slaves, tools or objects. They're people, and he treats them as such. At heart, he's a soft-spoken, good-hearted gentleman of nobility. Something straight out of the middle ages. Reminds me of Anakin before he became Vader, with his kindness towards others before heading down a dark path.
